Need help, D Bowe faces the worst pass D in the NFL in the Chargers, I feel he's due for a huge game and has had good games in the past against them. Steve Smith is facing a huge challenge against Nnamdi Asomugha and has shut down just about every corner he plays against. Smith has been great since coming back and has gone over 100 yards receiving in the past three games, with three touchdowns. Someone please HELP!

I'd be a bit concerned about Thigpen trying to throw to a WR covered by Cromartie, bad pass D or not.

I think you got Bowe for this reason.

Carolina will get up quick on Oakland and be running Williams all day long.

Conversely, we will be down early & often having to pass seemingly all day. Bowe will get a lot of balls thrown his way this week.

Probably about the only time I'd ever take Bowe over Steve Smith in FF.

Well ok that's a good point because the Chiefs will likely get waxed this week leading to 40+ pass attempts.

Cromartie hasn't produced near his potential this year to this point and they are giving up huge PAYDS and touchdowns, I just don't know on this one?

Im going with bowe because were running the spread. More passes against that defense=more chances for bowe to gain yards.

Good thinking, but will Smith be the reason they get up quickly?

Good observation as well, so far Bowe's in my starting lineup.

P.S. Love the videoROFL

Could be. Figure he's good for probably a TD. But I'd be surprised if it's a multiple TD day.

You've just got to figure that Williams & Stewart are going to get a ton of carries against that D.

Thigpen will be forced to throw it 40+ times Sunday.

Bowe is having a decent season fantasy wise considering the QB situation.

He gets nearly all the targets.

The only reason I'd tell you to go with Bowe is the idea that the Chiefs will give up 40 points this week.

Will Cromartie even play? The Chiefs website had him as not participating in practice as of Wed.

I think it depends on how the new Charger DC calls his game. From what i've read, he is going to be very aggressive, lots of man to man, and get after the QB.

If they generate a good pass rush...well, i dunno.

BTW, I think Jammer is the better DB for the Chargers. He is solid. Cromartie is flashy and has tons of athletic ability, but I think he relies way to much on his talent then technique.

I don't know about that, here's what Teicher posted in the Red Zone:

"Chiefs rough on Rivers
The Chiefs have generally made San Diego's Philip Rivers look bad in his four starts against Kansas City, a phenomenon that makes no sense given the fact that other, lesser quarterbacks have walked all over them in the same time frame.

But while Rivers' first career start against the Chiefs was OK, the past three have been downright ugly.

10-22-06: 25 of 43, 266 yards, 2 TD, 1 int.
12-17-06: 8 of 23, 97 yards, 0 TD, 2 int.
9-30-07: 21 of 42, 211 yards, 0 TD, 2 int.
12-2-07: 10 of 21, 157 yards, 1 TD, 1 int."

Considering the year Rivers is having I'd toss that out the window, he's breaking out this year.

I'd have to take Steve Smith. He seems to find a way to make plays, regardless of who is covering him.
