Redskins agree to deal with DeAngelo Hall

Redskins agreed to terms with CB DeAngelo Hall on a one-year contract.
It's the best possible move for Hall, who probably won't make much more than the minimum for the rest of the season but can try for a multi-year deal next spring. He will not, however, ever get the kind of money Oakland signed him for. Hall will probably start out as a dime back behind Carlos Rogers, Shawn Springs, and Fred Smoot. By season's end, he could overtake Smoot. Hall can also return punts, where Antwaan Randle El has struggled. Nov. 7 - 2:18 pm et

I[m pretty sure it's not real cool to make jokes about our President-Elect being a part of the regime that threw five to ten million jews in ovens and concentration camps, but I guess some don't get the more delicate art of comparisons.

Or maybe I need to try to figure out the many ways that Obama compares to Adolph Hitler?

Hey if everyone can bag on Bush, then Obama is fair game.. And others need to lighten up about it.. Liberals had a heyday with Bush, not it is the others turn..

Never compared Bush to Hitler. That's really crossing a line. But I guess that's the fun of the anonymous internet. And now I guess I get to see alot of right-wing Republicans look like complete morons, much as I watched some liberals look like idiots during the last eight years.

Yeah. I don't condone those people, either (in 2000, anyway. In 2004 people had reason).

The whole petty "YOU GUYZ DID IT 2 SO Y CAN'T I" thing is how wars start, ya know.

EDIT: Actually, I somewhat take that back. People had reason, I think, to feel animosity toward Bush in 2000 because of the whole him-stealing-it thing. But once the dust had settled, yeah, people should have given him a chance. And I think they did, after 9/11. But he proceeded to blow all the cred he had built up in the aftermath fairly quickly.

Anywho.

Im not going to bag on Obama, but he did infact buy the presidency. Obama and McCain had a contract that they wouldnt spend a certain amount on advertising. Obama decided to break that contract and spend 10 times the amount of money McCain did on advertisments. 10 to 1 really doesnt seem fair.

Uhhhh who gave him that money? The voters. A vast majority of them normal people making modest donations.

Obama didn't buy the presidency. The people who wanted him in office bought it for him.

Bush imposed his extreme ideology and his incompetence on this country and we are witnessing the results of his unwillingness to compromise. He earened the legitimate criticisms he received for his conduct and his policies. However, throwing every unfounded accusation in the book at someone who hasn't even been the president-elect for more than a couple of days only exposes the fear and resentment that resides in the right wing of this country. And it manifests itself daily in the venom that is spewed by right wing hate talkers in the media.

Yeah, that's why spontaneous celebrations broke out all over the streets of this country and all over the world; because Obama "bought" the election.

If this country ever fixes it's election system the American people will figure out that the only reason the republicans were able to win the previous two elections and keep it close this time is because there is a lot of votes that don't get cast and don't get counted or counted properly.

The first order of business is to mandate a paper receipt that can be used as a paper ballot to verify the electronic results. The second order of business is to remove the purging of voter rolls from of the hands of political partisans at the state level. And the third order of business is to make sure that it is just as easy to vote in less affluent areas as it is affluent areas. There is absolutely no reason that election day shouldn't be a national holiday and a day of celebration.

The reason Obama won this election is because people are tired of a government that doesn't represent the interests or the will of the people. In Obama, they see the opportunity to take their government back from the business crooks and war profiteers who have hijacked it. That is why he won and why people all over this country took to the streets to celebrate that victory.

Republicans have always had the money of big business and the wealthy to help "buy" elections. Now that Obama has called on the masses of disaffected voters to help counter that advantage, some people want to start crying about the influence of money on presidential campaigns.
