Load games.....such as instead of using the disc, you can just load it to your hard drive and play it from that?

Yes, but you still must have the disc in the drive in order to play it; verify that you own it.

Also there is grouped movie watching and up to 8 people in a "conference chat". I believe they changed the number of people you can video chat with as well.

They scratched group movie watching for this update...

Damnit....

I dont mean to flame, but this is what the PS3 does and the Xbox Fanboys used to flame the PS3 for doing this, now the Xbox is following suit?

jesus man.. It is required on PS3. You do not have to install your games on 360. This is a welcomed addition.
Why don't you bash us for knocking off the Wii's Mii avatars instead?

The funny thing is I desperately want a 360. I had a dream last night that Costco had them on sale for 96 cents, and it was awesome...Of course I woke up before I could check out.

I'm not comparing the 360 to any other system because I haven't played the others....but the 360 is well worth the price. It's my favorite system since the original PS came out.

avatars, netflix streamed to your console, new user interface.Netflix requires you to have the unlimited account and Live Gold to even use though. Pisses me off that you have to be Gold to use the Netflix side. Also, if you have less than a 3gb connection you can forget getting a quality picture. I have tried the streaming service and no way in hell am I upgrading my internet speed just to get it.

You mean a 3MB connection? Even if you have DSL, this is not that expensive. Perhaps $40 a month at the most, cheaper in a lot of places. Verizon FIOS and AT&T Uverse blow that speed out of the water, and with those you get phone, internet and TV (similar to cable or satellite) w/ DVR capabilities.

As a side, anyone have a link to the new features XBL is going to be offering?

Priorities I guess. For me I work in IT, and having the extra bandwidth is necessary. I also don't have kids, but I could very well imagine that for those that do, the extra $40 a month could be an expense that is just not worth it.

I think they're making the interface similar to the Wii. You get to make/design an avatar just like characters on the Wii system. Basically a rip-off

Eh, every system rips one thing or another off of other systems.
