TAMBOR SAYS ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT MOVIE IS "A GO"!!!

As most of you know, Jeffrey was on one of the best comedies I’ve ever seen on network TV. The show was called “Arrested Development” and no amount of superlatives can do the show justice. Let’s just say it was brilliant and move on.

Since the show was cancelled, rumblings of a feature film based on the show have been reported every time any of the stars does an interview. Almost always…the star in question says I’d love to do one, but I’m waiting to hear from creator Mitch Hurwitz.

Well…tonight is the night the story shifts into high gear!

On the red carpet, Jeffrey told me he just spoke to Mitch and the movie is a go! He says Mitch Hurwitz spoke to him this week and while he didn’t know when the start date was, he said, ”when the writer/director calls you it’s a pretty good sign.”

i LOVED that show, i recently watched it all again on hulu and it was more incredible watching it knowing the characters and the story its so funny

this and "its always sunny in philadelphia" are the only shows worth owning the DVDs

You kinda need to watch it from beginning to end. Each episode is, in a way, a continuation of the last. The story itself created a good deal of inside jokes within the show that are brought up frequently.

Um... okay, here's how it goes (according to Wikipedia because I really don't want to type it out). MAJOR SPOILER ALERTS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE EPISODES:









Mae "Maeby" Fünke (born September 22, 1990) is the teenage daughter of Lindsay and Tobias. Maeby's conception is an unanswered question and running joke throughout the series; though it is frequently implied that she is a test-tube baby, it is revealed that Lindsay delivered Maeby in the final episodes of season three.

Maeby attended a progressive school called "Openings" before her parents moved in with Michael. Once she enters the public school system, she is not able to compete. She loses interest in grades and starts creating new opportunities to get into trouble. Maeby receives charity money on false pretenses by pretending to be a wheelchair-bound girl named "Surely" who suffers from a rare, debilitating illness called "B.S." Maeby cons her way into being a movie executive and maintains the charade for many episodes. Eventually, her age is discovered when her cousin George Michael sends invitations to her 16th birthday party to all the other studio executives in her address book.

Maeby is occasionally receptive to George Michael's affections. She also dates Steve Holt, who is discovered near the end of season two to be the son of G.O.B., and thus Maeby's cousin (although not related by blood, as Maeby's mother Lindsay was adopted). While increasingly desperate to end the relationship, she continues to date him, at one point slipping him one of G.O.B.'s "forget-me-nows" to avoid having sex with him. George Michael tells Maeby at the beginning of season three that Steve Holt is also her cousin.

And adding to that, Lindsay is actually adopted, making her three years older than Michael (her supposed twin brother) and NOT related by blood. So no, Maeby is not George-Michael's biological cousin.
