Need some help

My wife tried to open some site that has something to do with quilts or some such and keeps getting this error....what the heck is this and what do I need to do to fix it, I have updated Java and no joy at all...

It needs javaSCRIPT, not java. I haven't used IE in a while, but there should be a checkbox somewhere in Tools->Options->Advanced (I think) that says something like "Enable JavaScript".
