I saw a post Deberg made, saying it's sad some people still want CP to stay. I cannot fathom why anyone would want him to stay. So, in your opinion, should he stay or go, no in between with this situation. I am for him leaving on the first train out of Dodge, good riddance.

I've wanted Carl to GTFO for about 3-4 years. When ever KC lost to the NO Saints about 4 years ago or so.

really since Marty left....Carl out... just stop trying to just fill stadium and blame players, draft, playoff system, refs, schedule...

you really have done anything but carry fans over from Marty's glory days.... now they're pissed at failed efforts at players you brought and left cap money on table.

If Deberg said that, he's lost his fucking mind.

Yeah, there are a few guys who defend Herm around here, but I haven't seen anyone defend Carl.

Much less to the point you could classify the category as "some people."

GTFO he should be ashamed of himself for letting the team get old -- with no second & third tier in sight.

how many years was he here?

i no longer even want him to be kept in the organization at all.

having him just lose the GM title but still around sticking his nose into things is a bad thing. imo

I have little football knowledge, but quite a bit of management experience. Based on his success. He should not GTFO, he should GTFF.

I want him to stay. Just take a look at his many accomplishments:

http://www.kcchiefs.com/front_office/carl_d_peterson/

Under his continued guidance, the club has built and maintains one of the most loyal national fan followings and strongest season ticket bases of any pro sports team. The Chiefs boast individual season-ticket accounts from 48 states (update - all but Maine and Vermont), the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada. Regarded as having one of the best and loudest gameday atmospheres in the entire league, the Chiefs consistently fill the NFL’s third-largest stadium (capacity 79,451), despite operating in the league’s sixth-smallest market. Kansas City has sold out 133 consecutive contests at Arrowhead — including five postseason games — dating back to ‘91.

Despite his many accomplishments in steering the overall fortunes of the franchise, at his essence, Peterson still remains a quintessential football man. During the decade of the ‘90s, few teams could match the level of success exhibited on the playing field by the Chiefs. From ‘90-99, Kansas City posted a stellar 102-58 (.638) record, making Kansas City just one of seven teams in NFL?history to record 100 or more wins over the course of a single decade.

For goodness sakes, over the last 11 years the man's resume includes an 81-89 record (68-86 if you take out the one 13-3 no defense season we had) an 0-2 playoff record, and an average 3rd place finish in the AFC West. And the defenses he has built in that timespan have an average ranking of 22nd in the NFL.

Yeah, this guy knows how to build a championship team...

waste of time...everyone on this board wants him to go...what is this poll going to prove? Something we already know?

Are you serious or are you sarcastically pointing out Carl's successful days ended in 1999?

You should have made this a public poll.

I was going to, and then I figured those who did want him to stay wouldn't vote that way in a public poll. I figured there wouldn't be any, probably just somebody screwing around.

I wouldn't call zero super bowls and two playoff wins a success.
