Some dude on another board ****ed with a nigerian dude and asked him to post a pic with a watermelon on his head etc,

The guy did it, and then a pic of him and a girl holding shoes while a watermelon was on his head....the ****er bit, then he asked him to post a pic of him saying that x board was cool on a piece of paper and he did.

Funny as shit, don't remember the rest of the story but it cracked me up

I like the idea of making him take stupid pictures of himself...

I also like the idea of him making a Chiefs Planet sign...

I think I'll tell him something like, how can I prove this is real? Please make a sign that says ChiefsPlanet Rulez!!! and take a picture so I feel more comfortable about this.

They don't get spooked. They just respond with the same old requests till you give up or give in.

They're all over craigslist, too, of course (sucker fishers go where suckers live). They'll list some high dollar item for less than believable prices, and cause we can't pass up the possible steal, we email them.

Usually, there's some song and dance about the item being in a storage unit in Maine or something, and all they want is your name and address to get the ball rolling.

If you're bored, they are fun to mess with, and they will go to great lengths to reel in a live one, but it tires quickly, imo.

The real goal of this is to make him spend a bunch of money. Tell him you need documents to be Fedexed to you. Or better yet, ask him what city he's in, and then later tell him that you're going to be in Nigeria in some place that's far away, and you'll have cash with you. Make him meet you at some fancy restaurant.

Oh! Oh! And even better! When the next scammer calls, tell him to do the same thing. Get them to meet each other in the fancy restaurant.

It would be better if I could get him to Fedex me $20 or so just so he can prove his worth to me.

Why don't Americans start sending them e-mails telling them that we will provide safe passage to the U.S. if they send us money?

Yeah, in a perfect world you'd scam him out of money, but I bet they have policies in place to prevent that. You can always try, though.

I still think your best bet is to get him to drive across the country, though. That'd be ferociously entertaining.

I really appreciated all my new on-line pals, but I don't know what I would do with all that extra money and I would look silly walking around with a full boy all the time. I just hit "Block Sender" and these things still don't slow down. In fact, my block sender is at it's limit. Any idea how to expand that with MSN??

Oregon Woman Loses $400,000 to Nigerian E-Mail Scam (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,453125,00.html)
FOX News
Monday, November 17, 2008

SWEET HOME, Ore. — An Oregon woman who is out $400,000 after falling for a well-known Internet scam says she wasn't a sucker or an easy mark.

Janella Spears of Sweet Home says she simply became curious when she received an e-mail promising her $20.5 million if she would only help out a long-lost relative identified as J.B. Spears with a little money up front.

Spears told KATU-TV about the scammers' ability to identify her relative by name was persuasive.

"That's what got me to believe it," She said. "So, why wouldn't you send over $100?"

Spears, who is a nursing administrator and CPR teacher, said she mortgaged the house and took a lien out on the family car, and ran through her husband's retirement account.

"The retirement he was dreaming of — cruising and going around and seeing America — is pretty much gone for him right now," she said.

She estimates it will take two years to clear the debt that accumulated in the more than two years she spent sending money to con artists.

Her family and bank officials told her it was all a scam, she said, and begged her to stop, but she persisted because she became obsessed with getting paid.

The scheme is often called the "Nigerian scam" and it's familiar to many people with e-mail accounts. It still exists and it still works.

Spears first sent $100 through an untraceable wire service as directed by the scammers. Then, more multimillion dollar promises followed so long as she sent more money.

The scammers sent Spears official-looking documents and certificates from the Bank of Nigeria and the United Nations. President Bush and FBI Director Robert Mueller were also involved, the e-mails said, and needed her help.

They sent official-looking documents and certificates from the Bank of Nigeria and even from the United Nations, saying her payment was "guaranteed."

But it wasn't and now Spears is paying the price for her costly lesson.

"The hope is [other people] are not going to fall as hard as I fell," Spears said.

I had a buyer on Craiglist that was an obvious scam.

I was selling a portable DVD player, and some guy said he would buy it if I could ship it overseas to his son. He said, "of course, I will pay you $300 to cover your shipping and inconvenience."

I was asking $100.

In my best Peter Gibbons, I e-mailed back and said, "Good luck with your scam."

Never heard back from him.

ATTENTION FUND BENEFICIARY This is an official advice from the FBI foreign Remittance / telegraph department. It has come to our notice that the C.B.N Bank Nigeria district has released 5,300,000.00 US dollars into Bank of America in your name as the beneficiary by inheritance means. The C.B.N Bank Nigeria knowing fully well that they do not have enough facilities to effect this payment from the united kingdom into your account, Used what we know as a secret Diplomatic Immunity Seal Of Transfer (DIST CERTIFICATE) to transfer these fund via wire transfer. They are still waiting for confirmation from you on the already transferred funds which was made in direct transfer so that they can do final crediting to your account. Secret diplomatic payment is not made unless the funds are related to terrorist activities. That is why your payment has been made in secret transfer. If your transaction is legit and you are not a terrorist. Then why did you not receive the money directly into your account? This is a pure coded means of payment? Most Records we have had with this method of payment in the past has always been related to terrorist acts, We do not want you to get into trouble as soon as these funds reflect into your account in the U.S.A, so it is our duty as a world wide commission to correct this little problem before this fund will be credited into your personal account. Due to the increased difficulty and unnecessary security by the American authorities when funds enter from outside of Europe, and the Middle East, The F.B.I Bank Commission for Europe has stopped the transfer on its way to deliver payment of $5,300,000.00 to debit your reserve account and pay you through a secured diplomatic transit account (S.D.T.A). We govern and oversee funds transfer for the World Bank and the rest of the world. We advice you contact us immediately as the funds have been Stopped and are being held in our custody, until you can be able to provide us with a Diplomatic Immunity Seal Of Transfer (DIST) within 3 days from the world local bank that authorize the transfer in order to certify to us that the funds you are about to receive from Nigeria are anti-terrorist/drug free or we shall have cause to cross and impound the Payment, we shall release the funds immediately we receive this legal documents. (DIST CERTIFICATE) Guarantee: Funds will be released on confirmation of the document, But If you fail to provide the Documents to us, we will charge you guilty with the FBI and take our proper action against you for not proving to us the legitimate of the fund you are about to receive. The email scams I just deleat.
But man I do love torturing a telamarketer

Had one hang up on ME after 20 mns one night. Wife and mom in law were losing their minds from laughter.

I bet I apoligized 20 times for having "touretts" and out of the blue screaming "c***ksucker" at the top of my lungs, each and every time he got into his sales pitch
It was during my detailed explanation and account of having a cathater shoved up my wang as a result of the trucking accident I had back in 2000 while I was in a body cast he finally cought on and said ..."ya know what Sir..I'm gonna hang up now, as I really don't believe your being serious about this"

Now a days when I get a "foreign accent" asking "may I please speake to J Childs"..I say sure! just a sec,,,and hand the phone to my 4yr old son Jake

Telemarketers are fun. i had one on for a whole 12 pack. Read this guy a wrong credit card # about 25 times and kept telling him I couldn't find my glasses. He finally said go ahead and take whatever time you need to find them so I put the phone down, went out and watered the lawn for about 20 minutes and came back in and he was still on the line. I told him I found my glasses in the cat box and had to run them thru the dishwasher to clean them up.

Kind of weird that the guy disappeared after he pulled that off. :hmmm:

I wonder if he had a friend on the board write that epilogue and then change his account info/name to avoid being attacked by the scammer. Make it look like he did disappear.

I'll keep everyone updated, hopefully you guys have some good ideas on how I can mess with him.

Heres his first email.

Good Day,
I have a business of US$22.4million for you. Please contact me for details.
Joseph Poon

My response:
I am very interested. How do I receive the money?

Mr. Poon,

Does it involve purchase of the powdered drink mix, Tang? Mr. Poon, Tang is a wonderful beverage and presents us with lots of opportunities. I'm telling you, Poon, tang is the future.

Sincerely,
Harry Nuts

I love to mess with people who send those emails, give them fake bank account numbers and stuff, it gets them pretty mad hahaha
