it wouldn't let me put thomas in to fantasy football for mcallister i picked thomas up (pierre thomas) and it didn't show him on my roster for week 12 and only showed him for weeks ahead. and yes this was well before the game started, like 2 hours, this happen to anyone else before?

Everybody pull out their pencil and notepads and start evaluating Sedrick Ellis. You will see that he's not in Dorsey's stratosphere as a DT.

I can almost forgive our defense for their play against new orleans, but giving up 50 some to the bills with most our defense back, seriously..

Was he a waiver wire pickup (not free agent)? This could affect when he is eligible to play.

Yeah, Trent Edwards was a different quarterback than the week before against Cleveland... but they also only had to drive more than 55 yards for a score twice (two 53 yard drives), and one of those was 61 yards.

The top two in my league lost this week, and I'm #4, playing #3... three combined touchdowns between Grant and Driver would guarantee a victory. It'll suck if they don't get at least a couple of touchdowns. I've come back from 1-4 and I'm hanging onto the last playoff spot...

true they could have given up less than 54 points, 7 were on the pick 6, but the defense still played horribly kind of like when it seemed lynch picked up 15 yards everytime he touched the ball, it's really depressing I had high hopes for the young squad, and young is no excuse to play that terribly. there is a difference between incosistent and making mistakes compared to just be consisently horrible. I truly believe if we had a good pass rush it could suddenly change everything defensively we were pretty good in 06 and had a pass rush, we were looking real good last year defensively the first half of the year, then we seemed to hit a horrible game defensively and haven't looked back, the depressing thing again is we had the best young pass rusher in football, i said it before i'll say it again it was a mistake to let allen go, pay the guy and reap the benefits for many years. once again depressing, our high drafted lineman look like flops, hali, tyler, turk, maybe dorsey

Coaching, coaching, and coaching. That's the problem. Look what a change in philosophy did for the offense. Doubled the scoring output.

I am also tired of the "gimmik" offense bullshit. What's the gimmik? They aren't running trick plays every other down. The K-gun took Buffalo to 4 SB (and would have won the 1st if not for wide right). They had like 20 plays. They just new how to execute them.

I refuse to believe our defense is this talentless. No they aren't a top 10 caliber defense on talent but I don't see how they are 32nd except shit coaching.

The K Gun was a no huddle offense.....that's a little different from the pistol.

why did the Chargers get rid of him?

His shoulder was wrecked right at the end of the '05 season...seems it got better.

Plus they probably felt that they had to see what Rivers could do besides cash big paychecks. They traded some dude for him, I forget who...

why did the Chargers get rid of him?I believe it was their most awesome GM who wanted him despite Marty's protests.
Guess it worked out well for Brees. Marty was a casualty but is getting the last laugh this year. :D

This game is a nail biter for me.

I have Rodgers and Crosby starting on my FF team.

I am down 10 points with the Pack getting ready to go on an all pass blast.

I need Rodgers to get a touchdown and throw for about 40 yards before the game is over.

Mason should provide me with the rest via extra point.

thanks guys for the info on Brees. I really like him

Here's an interesting article on GB's defense :

An Excerpt:
The Green Bay Packers have received an influx of offense from an unlikely source this year: their defense. The defense has recorded seven touchdowns in only 10 games this season; no other team has more than four. They're also on pace to score the most touchdowns in a season since the 1998 Seahawks' defense, which scored 10.

The Packers' performance in scoring defense this season has been the best in recent memory. In 2007, the Packers scored four defensive touchdowns; in 2006, they scored five. They're on pace for 11 this year, more than the previous two seasons combined.

While Packers' fans and coaches will take the points any way they can get them, Green Bay's dominance over the rest of the league in this category raises a lot of interesting questions for the future. Will the Packers continue on this hot streak? What does it mean about their performance for next year? Are the Packers simply better than the league on returns, or is it just the combination of opportunity (the Packers lead the league in interceptions) and luck?
