If somebody has a pretty little scoreboard pic from THE GREATEST 3 POINT SPANKING IN BORDER WAR HISTORY...it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure there are quite a few KU fans that would like to own that.

Oh yeah.

8 points was a monster win by some accounts, and merited the title of the SINGLE GREATEST REGULAR SEASON VICTORY EVAR, so I gave a 3 point win a title.

There was a part of me that was actually hoping OSU would pull out the W last night. With all the crap Mack Brown and Texas fans have been saying about OU not deserving to be there - someone even hired a plane to fly over OSU's stadium with a banner of the Texas OU score - it would kinda be poetic justice if OU dropped the game so TT could go to the Big 12 championship game instead of Texas.

When I lived in Kansas I didn't really like anyone but the Chiefs as a kid...so I saw myself root for Jayhawks basketball and K-State football...but when I moved to Illinois around age 12 I grew up around Illinois basketball so I'm pretty indifferent to everything in Kansas other than Chiefs football, mainly because I didn't miss a game at Arrowhead from age 5 to age 12 and that is when Arrowhead was awesome. I said on the 33 if that's what you mean... but I was wrong, it was on the 26. I'm still completely baffled at the call. In that situation, Mizzou has to protect the endzone and the sidelines, in that order, yet they blitz a QB that at times looks like he could get out of a blitz if the best 5 NFL defenses of all time were on the field at the same time. Who cares of Kansas gets the first down in that situation? If they get out of bounds, they only have ~25 seconds and at least 19 yards to go, and if they don't get out of bounds, there's even less time and they have to waste a down spiking the ball. It's mind-boggling.

It would have looked smart in hindsight, but it still would have been a stupid decision, IMO. Reesing avoids sacks like Herm Edwards avoids success. Just because it happens every once in a while doesn't mean you should expect it to happen.

I'm not necessarily saying they should have gone prevent, but blitzing a corner or just the LBs is smarter than blitzing a safety in that situation. You have to have someone playing center field.

Watching the KU fans celebrate you would have thought they won the Big 12 or something. Then I realized it's not every year they finish as high as 7th place in the Big 12. Good for the Beakers. Maybe this is a start of something new. If they continue to improve they might actually finish in the top half of the conference next year. That would be big time for KU football.

It gave them 7 wins, and helped solidify consecutive bowl appearances for the first time in the program's history, which sounds like a big deal to me.... and it was against the team that's so-called head and shoulders and torso and knees and ankles above any other team in the Big 12 North, which happens to be a pretty big rival.

Fact is, missery was supposed to be balls this year, the second coming of all that is holy. Truth is, they weren't. Good luck vs OU. I'm expecting a bit of deja vu from last season.

Oh, and don't think should your little basketball team defeat KU anytime soon, you won't be jacked and talking how badass your team is and how MU is going to do something and how someday missery will play for a national championship in a sport. Oh wait. Whoops, my bad. That's probably a sore spot. Just so we're clear, being number one for a week is pretty cool, but doing something about it and with the opportunity it presents--that is a reason to celebrate. You'll figure it out. Of course you are going to try to blow it off. Don't try to act like this game was not important to you. While our season was not as good as some of us expected, we did beat both of our rivals and made a 2nd consecutive bowl game while playing one of the toughest schedules in the country. Must have been nice to see the stadium full.

That might have been the ONLY thing, oh i also saw clark at the end (i believe that was him) out there getting the trophy shit ready. Boo'ed the shit out of him as people were laughing next to me, my gf kept telling me to stop yelling, but i saw no kids around.

Wasn't it the other way around last year? I recall there being a discussion prior to the game about how the KU fans were buying up all the tickets, etc., and then when the game rolled around, the MU fans outnumbered them, ... or something.

I believe so...this year i knew it'd be mostly MU fans with the lack of interest or whatever from KU fans. It was only $35 a ticket for upper level, which was not bad, hell anyone shouldve gone that like the teams.

Of course you are going to try to blow it off. Don't try to act like this game was not important to you.

This game meant nothing. I was more upset that Pinkel was letting Maclin hobble on the field in a junk game toward the end. The season comes down to this weekend and not resting your star players in a game with no significance to your season is retarded.

I was in section 346 in the middle of the kU fans and all I can say is, I'm still trying to launder teh ghey from my clothes. What is with that gay cabaret chant you guys do? It's like you were on the road to the "whoa whoa whoa...goodbye" chant but took a wrong turn into San Fransisco.

WTF chant are you talking about? The only thing I can think of is the kickoff chant, "Rip his #$%^ing head off". Yeah, that's real gay.

No, no, no...it must have been the "fight song" or something. Everyone waving their hands in the air and then woo-woo'ing some chant. I could literally tell that the kU fans around me were halfway embarrassed of it. One kU student in front of me even commented on how dumb it was.

This game meant nothing.

It meant plenty...its a rivalry. Maybe not statistically, because it doesn't end our hope of a BCS bowl (OU will do that next week :grr:), but its a big deal to the program as a whole.

Oh, I think you must be talking about the wave the wheat. While it may not be cool or in style, it is a KU tradition. I don't have a problem with it. Hell, I do it along with the other fans at the games.

Yes, I'm only here to find a man. Yet, none to be found.

You met some guy on here named Moo.

You even posted a thread about it after you broke up. Its in the Hall of Fame section.

Have you MUrons realized you have yourselves set up to end your season with 3 straight losses? Two out of three is nearly a certainty. Just curious.

Well, this game obviously didn't mean as much as last year because of what was on the line last season with KU's cupcake schedule.

MU had something to prove last season, showed that they belonged in the champ game as North champs,

This year that since of urgency probably wasn't there as much since they clinched the division a week in advance. But it's still a rivalry game and the players still want to win.

I dont think you can really say that "MU was just looking past KU towards the Big12 Champ game"

MU defense (esp the CB's) played like dogshit, and KU picked it apart. It's that simple. KU was the better team that day, but MU overall is the better team. There's no doubt in my mind about that.

That would be big time for KU football.Puleeze. MU fans went buzurk when they took the lead at 1:50 to go. The emotions on both sides of the stadium were running high because it was a GREAT GAME. It isn't like we went nuts at the end of a game that was over by half time, up by three TDs.

Last year, KU used the game for motivation to punch VT in the mouth. Maybe MU can do the same to OU this year.
