our defense would be MUCH better with Jared Allen, I know that...

But I won't complain about Albert (stud) and Charles...

I don't care what Allen does for the rest of his career if those guys are who I think they are. Morgan could damn well be a bonus too.

It's time to put Morgan on the field full time...I just want to see the kid play a little bit.

FWIW, Chicago has imploded this year. They have a mediocre OL and QB, let their best WRs escape via free agency, and are ruining Hester the same way we ruined Hall. And since shitcanning Rivera as DC their defense seems to get a little bit worse every week.

So having a good game against them really isn't that much of a big deal.

They are inconsistent, that's for sure...

BUT

Hester is a good weapon on offense...much better than Hall ever was. Hester can develop into a good receiver I think...

He has a size advantage, but his return game has went right in the shitter since they started using him more on offense.

Just like with Hall.

Teams need to realize that if you have an elite return specialist, be content with that. Because trying to get anything more will ruin it all.

I won't argue with that...but he has the potential to be the next Steve Smith...I'm not sure if he's smart enough, though...he does have the skill set.

from being out a year
a year away could ruin him

Would like some opinions on Everette Brown (DE from FSU) and Michael Johnson (DE from Georgia Tech) as a possible selection in the first round?

I could have sworn that the NFL had said if he made it to this past september without an incidents his slate would be wiped clean. I don't have a link though, I just thought I remember seeing that. I could be wrong.

I read the same thing and he is in the clear. However, as a fan, it doesn't matter. If the Chiefs pony up and pay him as he should be paid it's a win win.

Unless, he violates the NFL Substance Abuse Policy.

Then, he misses all of the prorated salary checks (reason for him to get a chauffer) and the Chiefs are off the hook for all of that salary cap room that has been keeping us from succeeding.

What? You mean when we're $35M under the cap it would not have matterred if JA would have drove a Hummer drunk into Tanners to our roster?

Albert & Charles entire career > remainder of Allen's contract

You could tell JA wasn't going to gel with King Carl. Would've been out of KC at the end of a contract anyway. For the long haul, the trade was definetly worth it.

Albert might be John Tait or Victor Riley. We don't know. We knew what we had in Allen. An All Pro.

How could you think that a draft pick in the hands that created 2 wins in 22 games is a good thing?

Gel with King Carl? Is that how we run our franchise? How well they get along with the GM? Isn't it the job of management to identify talent and get along with them?

Its tough to say at this point who got the better end of the deal?

While I agree we knew what we had in Allen an All-pro. Im sure Chiefs management sure as heck didn't want to ged rid of the guy? The Bottomline is you keep good players. Thats a no-brainer.

With that being said, do I blame KC management for getting rid of him? absolutely not. There is no use complaining for this loss. He forced management into trading him. Simply he didnt want to be here leaving them with no choice. Jared wanted out of KC.

No matter how you spin it, thats all it is. Nothing else matters.

You are wrong. CP tried to prove his value to the Hunts and signed JA to a restricted fa contract on the basis that he was a risk.

He gambled and JA stepped up and had a huge season and publicly quit drinking. Allens price tag doubled. CP couldn't sign him to a contract that was double what the owner was willing to pay the year before so he sandbagged him in the media.

CP was lucky to get Minnesotas offer or else KC would have had another Dan Williams fiasco on their hands.

That's some bs right there.

It was never a one year deal. I don't understand why that is so fucking hard to understand. Besides, Albert is younger, cheaper, and is having a great year in a position just as important as the one Allen plays. Add in the fact that we got an excellent change of pace back with home run potential (A much better Leon Washington), and a safety with Pro Bowl tools, and the people poo pooing this deal can fuck themselves.

And he'll be at home watching the SB while planning his next DUI.

Why play him just to play him?

He's obviously not good enough to even beat out Pollard or Page.

drafting a safety was a horrible idea in what we got with the Allen deal.

So the new guys get a free pass from winning, but JA doesn't? Love the double-standard.

Are you saying the Vikings weren't instantly considered Super Bowl contenders with the Allen deal?

He's going to be a starter next year. Morgan is better than either one of those guys.
