Looks like Barth might finally be the guy they were looking for.

I say yes. Barth is a great name for a kicker. It makes me laugh everytime I hear it.

What have his distances been so far?

30, 39, 28, 20, 21, 45, 38, and 27 yards.

I'd like to see more 40+ yarders, and I'd like to see at least ONE kick in crunch time with a game on the line, but I'll say this: he's making the one's he's supposed to make, which is always a good sign.

So far he has looked good. Made his FG's and yesterday all his kicks went inside the 5 and closer to the 2 or 1.

Every time I hear Barth's name, I think of John Candy! Connor Barth is a Mog! He's half man, half dog. He's his own best friend!

I liked the reaction to Janikowskis 51 yarder yesterday. Everyone acted as if it was no big deal and automatic. hahaha

I don't understand why they didn't kick the other two fgs? Faked one, then went for the 1st on the other one. Was he hurt?

Oh, and I am loving Barth.

How has Barth's KO's been? I've not noticed. If his KO's are good, I think we've found our man.

Not consistently deep. Which is my knock on him. He can get it deep, but he's still floating a few short kickoffs now and then.

Gotta question if this is due to lack of coaching. ST Coach Prifer or whatever his name is, is one of the few people on this team more worthless than Herm. :shake:

Barth's been invisible thus far.
And that's largely because he's quietly done his job.
Very good sign. He's made the kicks he was supposed to make.

I think we could be in good shape, at that position, going forward.

I don't understand your post. Are you indicating that Priefer is not "coaching" Barth to kick it into the endzone on kickoffs?

I didn't think that was something that needed "coached". That should be expected of the kicker regardless of coaching.

You're in luck. For a guy who'd "like to see more" field goals, there is no better coach than the one we have !

Barth knows he has to make every kick or get cut. How would you like to kick for Herm Edwards?

Man it sure would be nice if the Chiefs found their new kicker?

that is a position they've really struggled with over the years.

Yup and youre right those guys we got at the end of their careers. they were good, mostly with other teams. it'd be nice if the Chiefs could find their stoyacovich or anderson young and early in their career? and thats just something that never happened as far as i can remember..unless im wrong?

Can't be, he's not from UCLA.

I think he'll be good, but it still upsets me to see Crosby kicking for GB.

Yeah. You're wrong. The Chiefs have nearly always had that luxury except for the past 15 years.

Chiefs took Medlock over Nick Folk and Crosby both. Unreal...

From 1967 to 1994.

Yup.

Not only was Medlock clearly not the best kicker in the draft, but there was a lot of talk about him having an attitude problem well before draft day.

Fucking Carl Peterson and his hard-on for UCLA.

only kicking I would like to do for Herm is rochambeau

There has been ZERO pressure on his kicks. None of them were to win a game... most of them have been meaningless.

He is doing good, but I'm not anointing him yet.

8/8 is good
8/9 will get him cut though
