I just watched the 2003 playoff game against Indy. That offense, all aspects of it, played too well to have the defense take a shit in their pants like that.

Edit: outside of the dropped TD by Boerigter and the ticky-tack offensive PI call on Gonzalez that negated a TD.

Don't forget Priests fumble on that run.

Why not just give yourself a nasty paper cut and pour lemon juice on it? Or, watch archive footage of the French defense of their country, circa 1940?

I was at that game.

Sadly, that defense isn't worse than the one we have now.

What he did is more like picking the scab off 3 days later and pouring lemon juice into the wound again.

Yeah, that too. 18 points left on the field.

Sad to think that we could have scored 46 points in that game.

Eh, it's close.

At least the 2008 defense can force a fucking punt once and a while...

Reminds me of a parody I heard sung to the tune of Moon River:

Meuse River, wider than a mile
We’re crossing you in style,
today…

Nineteenth Panzer,
it’s our answer
When we Auf-trags-taktik,
"I surrender!", they speak

Three divisions, off to see all France
They’re crapping in their pants, we see
We’re af-ter all Europe…
White flags then,
They’re surrendering again
My Heinz Guderian friend,
Meuse River,
und mich…

I was at that game too. Im surprised that you are just now watching it bobbything.

I tivo some things, but 5 years is a little long to wait. I hope we didn't ruin it for you with all of our "haven't won a playoff game since the 90's" posts.

If Herm was here to fix that 2003 defense...

We would be Superbowl Champions, no doubt, no doubt in my mind....

How about Morton's missed 30 yard FG?

Morton's dropped pass on 3rd down that led to Anderson's missed field goal...

We play that game 10 times, we win 5 of them.

That was the same drive where Gonzalez caught a TD but it was called back due to offensive PI. After watching the replay, that isn't called 99 times out of 100.

Most of TG's PIs are bogus. It has to be the quietest BS call in all of football. How many times have any of you seen the defense get called for PI on TG? I can count them on one hand for his entire career, likely. Meanwhile he seems to get one a game. It's a joke.

The saddest thing I ever witnessed was when the Colts came to Arrowhead the next year when Gun took over, and we forced them to punt, Arrowhead gave the team a standing ovation.

How far we've fallen on defense... :shake:
