Seems to be their M.O. the past couple of years, play well in the non-conference and then suck it up during conference play.

I'm not saying I think they'll be a force in the conference, really... but I think they'll be better.

Different team this year...I've been a huge critic but honestly I think this team is good.:)

Haven't said that in five year.:D

Somewhat surprising, they have a lot of talent but a young coach, they will need some time to gel.

Did you see the OU game last night? They kept showing Blake Griffin's parents in the stands. His dad is as black as the Ace of Spades. His mom is a nice looking redhead. What's up with that?

Just my .02 but that "40 minutes of hell" offense is designed to beat small schools with less conditioned players and under manned larger schools. (K-State & Iowa State). It doesn't work well against top teams who have a deep bench and better players. I haven't seen much of this years KU team but if you tried to press last years team you would get your shit pushed in right quick.

It's 2008?

The question is: Why is Blake Griffen snow white? Was his mother married before and Blake came from that marriage? It has nothing to do with what year it is you racist. :p

The 40 minutes of hell doesn't mean much against great point guards. It is designed to make teams just beat themselves. I like the style for Missouri though because it can work very well if a team overlooks it. The 40 minutes of hell is tremendously better this year though since Anderson brought in a lot of quick scrappers to throw in from the bench. Last year we weren't as deep with speedsters so we'd be dead by the end of the game and get blown out in the final few minutes. We obviously don't have more talent than the big name schools but we can take advantage of mistakes. I think we'll be a little bit of a sleeper in the Big 12 this year. The one thing I can say is at least Mike Anderson is winning the games he should. That's a lot more than our old coach could say.

Didn't Arkansas win a National Championship with that style?

I've only watched one game that Mizzou played this year so far...but they looked mighty impressive. I know we'll find out a lot more about them when they face Cal tomorrow.

I could see the 40 minutes of hell beating KU up pretty good. Too many youngsters and even our main guy with experience is a turnover machine.

I don't know if Arkansas won the NC with it or not. KU ran into them in the Dance in the 1990 season. KU ran their ass off and sent them home. Their big center, "Big O" or something was so winded he didn't even go down to the offensive end for the last several possessions. I laughed my ass off at them.

Yeah, it's good for beating inexperienced teams. But we don't play them for three months. Then again in 4 months.

I like this English kid. He's gonna be a player.

All three of the freshmen (English, Denmon and Paul) are going to be really good players.

English and Denmon are a little more advanced at this stage than Paul, but all three are going to be multi-faceted guards who can shoot from deep or take the ball to the rim. I loved seeing Denmon driving the ball in the second half when his outside jumper was not falling.

I love English's offensive game. Can spot-up or pull-up from deep, put the ball on the floor and shoot the pull-up, the floater or take it all the way to the rack.
