View Full Version : Chiefs How many games, combined, have Pat Surtain and Donnie Edwards played?

Man, these guys and their careers are DONE!

I'm glad Surtain hasn't played. It's allowed our young CB's to play and gain experience. I think our CB's has become the strength of this terrible defense.

On the other hand, it's sucked that Edwards hasn't played because there's no one on the roster backing him up who can be developed. All of our backup LB's are terrible and just taking up space. They probably won't be around next year.


Edit: Yes, I meant.... How many games have they played THIS season, combined?

Just because you want to get pieces in free agency, doesn't make you a dumbass.

Being a dumbass would be signing free agents who are on their 3rd or 4th contracts.

This.

You build your team through the draft, then finish the puzzle with smart (yet expensive) 2nd contract free agents. Then you go win a super bowl.

Rebuilding is a good thing, but you're never going to find 22 top level starters, adequate depth, and quality special teams just through the draft.

Steady veteran leadership.

Most importantly, they both probably had cap friendly contracts.
