I work in the Internet industry myself and even though I've seen it happen first hand it's hard to believe just how quickly things have been moving. Every time I've made a prediction about how quickly things would change or be adopted (mp3s, broadband, streaming video) I thought I was being a bit radical but it turned out my estimates were conservative.

Technology is moving at a breakneck pace.

Awesome video.

To answer its question, what does it mean?

Look to history: What has humankind done with each of the transforming technologies of each age? There's the answer.

Or do you suppose that lessons have been learned and things have changed?
