View Full Version : Poop Whooo Hoooo Got my internet back up (aka I have no life)
Sweet, got my internet back up here in my new place, and for free too. I live across the street from work, and can get on via works wireless. been awhile since I've had my any service here at home, so I'm sure I'll get no unpacking done for the next 3-4 days while I surf.
Besides it's fricking cold out, supposed to get to -5 with windchills of -25 to -30 tonight:eek: And it snowing and blowing like crazy. They already shut the roads down leaving Cody, have had multiple accidents all day.
Of course being one block from work does have disadvantages, can't call in because the roads are bad. Of course everyone else has, so I get to start my 11-7 shifts a day early this week. Oh well just means a few more hours.
anyway I really have nothing of sustenance to say, like that's new. Just wanted to try out the new connection.

Wouldn't most things stolen be considered free?

Yea but I'm pretty sure if they approve, then it's not stealing?

Oh, well, if that's the case, I'd say it's a gift. Now hopefully that's either in writing or you and management are really good friends, and they don't fine you $40 for x months after you've sexually harrassed the cleaning lady.

Naw, the head ceaning lady is fricken hot, 26y/o redhead.:D
And the sexual harrassment is a mutual thing.ROFL
JOhn, if I lived in Wyoming I'd shoot myself without internet.
Ok, maybe not.
I was going to smoke a brisket tomorrow. Just found out there would be 50 MPH wind gusts. Guess I'll cook it in the oven.
Can you ever cook on a grill in Wyoming? I remember you convincing me that NM winds were nothing compared to up there. That must surely get tiresome.

When I was laid off a couple years ago I had an offer to spend the winter in Silverton, CO and become one of the "frozen chosen". There was plenty of pot, ale and even women but no Internet.
That was the deal breaker. Three months with no email, fraggin' people from 1/2 across the world and instant news was too much to take. It's scary how much of a staple it's become.

Yea I grill up here all the time. been known to have the BBQ grill going during a snow storm:D
Speaking of wind, got -25 to -30 windchill tonight, with lots of blowing snow. damn cold tonight, but even colder tommrow they say. Never a better time to grill.

Yea it's really killed me this fall, but then again with the season the Chiefs are having, it could be a blessing.
Normally I keep up on everything that's going on during the season, but this year with no DTV and little access to the net until now the news has been scarce.

I would've jumped on that shit.

I heard a rumor that anything in Wyoming that was female and only had 2 legs was considered hot. Just Kidding, Your neighbor to the south.

Hey John, are you still working in the oilfield? What are you doing now?

That's only in the off season, but boy howdy when the tourist hit town.:D

Nope, didn't work for about 8 months after my heart attack in Aug 07. Working at local resort for now, lot easier though the money is not nearly as good. But it works a lot better being a single parent.

I stayed in Gillette one time and I went to a few bars and all the women had velour track suits on and talked about their kids whenever you attempted conversation. General trailer park trash.
The hotel (where I am assuming most of the out-of-towners were shacked up) was a totally different story. Hot business women that loved to buy younger men a few drinks.

You can't compare Gillette to Cody. Cody has some quality talent and as JOhn stated, there is a lot of nice "imports" that roll through there during the summer. Gillette on the other hand, not so much. From my experience, most of the local old skanky hides look like they just fell out of the back of a coal truck. They are very harsh and are about one step away on the DNA chart from having a dangler with a pair of twins. They could also whip most guys in a one on one bar fight. :shake:

Gillette is a mining/oil town, and them woman is rough:eek:
Now Cody on the other hand has some decent talent, but in the summer it's down right amazing the tourist woman who show up here.

It has never occurred to me to vacation in Cody, Wyoming.

Heck yea, Cody is the east entrance to Yellowstone N.P. Also the home of Buffalo Bill Cody, and houses many local historic sites. In addition we have a world class set of mueseums here(Winchester gun, Plains Indian, Whitney art among others)
Also some of the best Hunting/fishing and camping in the lower 48.
