For whatever reason the Chargers almost always seem to be one of those (few) teams that Gunther knows how to coach against. Since the Philip Rivers era began in San Diego he has faced the Chiefs as a starter 5 times and in those games he is far from a 102.0 passer rating QB...

Passer Rating: 68.4

Also add to these figures the fact that the Chiefs have a third of their sacks this season against Rivers (from the earlier meeting in San Diego) and have sacked him a total of 12 times during the aforementioned games. He's also 3-2 during those games (but could have easily lost the meeting earlier this season if the Chiefs converted the two-point play) and has thrown an INT and been sacked at least once in every one of the games.
