We all wondered what we were getting with Clark.

Many of us had started doubting him already.

"He doesn't care. His true love is soccer. He spends all his time in Fiji. He's probably not even aware."

Well, the man laid a lot of those fears to rest today.

Here's to you, Mr. Hunt. :toast:

Is Herm Edwards still employed by the Kansas City Chiefs?

In that case I reserve the right to withhold my appreciation.

However, it is an extremely positive sign.

In that case I reserve the right to withhold my appreciation.Give it time.

The conservative move would have been to let Carl ride out his contract. That's what I expected.

I'm impressed.

If Clark hires Bradway and he retains Herm, you'll all hate his guts.

That would be the worst thing that could happen.

Coach

That won't happen.

Remember, anything is possible. I didn't think the Chiefs would be that inept to blow a 18 point lead by the 3rd quarter, much less, give up 12 points in less than 2 minutes.

Not being a downer and loving it, but have some caution that we might be stuck with Give draft way Kuriach and cant win Herm.

it's a very good first step...also the easiest

now

1. hire a young gm
2. fire herm
3. draft a QBOTF

i'm just happy that clark sounds like he has a plan

he didn't just fire carl, he made it clear that he wants to build long term stability with a draft/youth oriented approach and that he wants a GM - from OUTSIDE the organization - who has been a part of that...

That's all I'm really saying.

His actions, and his words today... were a pleasant surprise to me.

actually firing Herm should fall on the responsibility of the new GM.

What about fire position coaches such as special teams coach, defensive coordinator, QB coach, defensive line coach, and whomever else is atrocious?

the new GM will choose whomever he wants

that is why i bet that the new GM is named fairly quickly, because he has to be ready to start the coaching search immediately

few? I was 2 when we won the SB. The Marty years were nice, but Carl should have left with him.

problem is Clark acted like some of the candidates were on playoff teams. So i think its gonna be longer than you think. I think we will name one around the time of the super bowl

Yes, but very necessary baby steps!Of course.

The rest of it gets done with the new GM. After all, it'll be his call.

People say they won't celebrate until Herm and others are gone. The first step is always the hardest, and the first step has been taken. Yes, we need to focus on the future, but you have to celebrate the victories along the way. This will trickle down. Just give it some time. In the meanwhile, pop open a beer and celebrate.

This was done because Clark only cares about making money....this should be a crow thread...

Nice move..show everyone on the footbal side of operations that not one persons job is safe......

love the split up of GM/Pres...
