I'm assessing the lay of the land. As we talk about GM candidates, do you know a lot? A little? Do you thing Scott Pioli is a northern British pasta? Do you think that Floyd Reese was the barber on the Andy Griffith Show? Let us know if we should hang on your every word or laugh at you.

Some guy named Millen is available. Pioli is a product of Belicheck's genious. If we consider Casserly, I give up.

Not at all, just like everybody else.

Luckily, noone on this forum will be in on the decision.

I get excited about some of the candidates because they come from successful organizations, but I can't say one would be better than the other.

Does this involve tiebreakers?

Not at all, just like everybody else.Yeah, that's where I'm at.

I know of Pioli and Millen because of their (opposite) reputations. That's about it.

I'll want to see the actual list of possible candidates and then give an opinion.

I put myself in the idiot category, though I'm sure that I'll have strong opinions to share.

Moderate Journeyman

I've been researching possible GM candidates since the beginning of the year.

I know how to pronounce Pioli... and I think he is good.

Uh, also, I haven't seen anyone on Patriots Planet mention Carls "resigning"... or show worry of Pioli leaving.

Idiot, and frankly I plan to stay that way. I have no desire to learn all about what it takes to be a good GM. That's Clark's job. As long as it's not Millen or Bradway, I'll give Clark the benefit of the doubt.

That sounds good to me. I think I'll adopt that position.

People know which teams draft good, but almost no one knows who below the GM is actually responsible for it. People thought Phil Savage was from the Ravens good drafting school, then he traded all his picks this year when he was actually GM of the Browns.

People know less than they think they know. You need to be in football to know the real deal. I'm not so I don't.

For once I agree with Zouk. Nobody on this board has any idea.

How do the fuck do you know? Some of us have contacts in the league, I'm not going to tell them on the board but I do.
