damaticous

Curious as to what you all received. Were your families brave enough to purchase Chiefs stuff? Did you receive socks? Tie? Robe? Underwear? Anything cool, unique?

I received some black socks, a nice robe, couple pair of Chiefs sleep pants and shirt, TG Chiefs hoodie, Xfiles Season 8 and 9 (Took 4 years but I finally have the whole set with both movies!), chap stick and other small stuff.

Was is a good x-mas? Poll forthcoming.

Watching my daughter this morning was so much fun. She is five and I would say no one enjoys Christmas like a 5 year old. I think her favorite present is the Chiefs monkey that Santa brought. She named him Mortimer.

My best gift was a 1964 model GI Joe from my daughter.. She likes to hear about the toys I played with when I was a kid. Apparently her and my wife came across him in a toy store and she just had to buy it for me. It turned out to be a pretty good deal for GI Joe. My daughter has decided that he's going to live in her Barbie doll house with all the princesses - va va voom!

I'd say that beats the heck out of slogging through rice paddies in Vietnam. Plus, there's a TV in there so he can watch football. It's a pink TV, but so what?

I picked sucked. I can't go home because I am on call, so I can't spend it with my family. But I traded Thanksgiving, so it's all good I guess.

About to go have dinner with some friends though, so it could be better.

Its a tough Christmas for the BuckinKaeding family.

Everybody agreed that there would be no gifts, but I couldn't do that.

I got My Mom, Dad, and 2 brothers a $25 gift card to Best Buy.

The only thing I received was a pair of Noise Canceling headphones from my Dad.

Gosh, its bringing a tear to my eye. They aren't the best headphones, and probably didn't cost that much, but knowing everything that my dad has gone through and still thinking about his kids and getting us something, its just awesome.

Thats basically it.

Dang, if only I'd thought of that, she might have gone along with it.

She named him Mortimer because she has another monkey named Winslow that I always call Mortimer - I don't know why I do that. Anyway, she figured if she called this one Mortimer I'd get his name right sometimes.

Winner.

My x-wife does photography on the side. A while back when it was still nice she took a bunch of pictures of our daughter in a park in various settings/poses. She had 10 of the pics blown up and framed them together in a large poster board. Half are in color and half black & white. It's probably the best gift I've ever gotten.

After her and I spent the first half of the day fighting it was a better way to end the day.

I got all kinds of stuff...but my 9 month old son came away with a whole load of stuff. Oh my god, it's like a toy store threw up a kaleidoscope of loud, multi-colored toys in our apartment right now...some of them are pretty damn cool though. The musical ones amuse me more than him at this point.

It was a good Christmas, lots of food and family, topped off with a little bit of drunken bowling fun.

The booze or the cash? Or both?

Both! Headed to Big Cedar in a couple of days to let the kids see the lights at Silver Dollar City and spend NYE with our best friends. We'll definitely be breaking into the booze.

More information please. This sounds awesome.

Oh, it is. For $300, having this double on Rockband, and real drums is outstanding. Here's the official site,

As usual we spent like bandits on the kids....

Son got PSP package and several games for it, and other video games for his computer, along with clothes and money from Grandma.

Daughter got the Ipod Touch, new accessories for her bedroom (end table, lamp and matching wall clock) books and CDs she asked for, clothes, and money from Grandma

Wife got clothes, new pajamas, house shoes, new purse and billfold, KitchenAid Mixer and Hamilton Beach Crockpot.

Yours truly got Addidas cologne, Bourne Trilogy, X-Men Trilogy, Ipod Nano, a couple of Disney collectibles I've been craving, new pajamas and house shoes, socks and a nice new sweater vest.

Family gifts.....year membership to the Pavilion (rec center here in Georgetown) and a nice Home Theater system. (I have been trying out all the new DVD's on it....now I can never go back to plain old TV)

I got a black satin French maid costume, garter, and black stockings from the wife, at least 4 sizes too small.

I'm not sure why she wants me to turn into a transvestite but there is absolutely no way I can turn into a women's size 4.

Somehow, I think it's going to be a good weekend in the Lyon' household.

Either that or it's a not-so-subtle hint that he needs to clean the house.

probably the funnest things I got were Call of Duty World at War for the Wii and a R/C #99 Carl Edwards car with enough zip to it to do donuts and burnouts.

Was playing with the car out in the street, cat comes down the road, off the car goes after the cat. I chased that cat over half the neigborhood with the car.

Not a lot of things, but everything just about 'just' what I wanted.

Ipod Touch, the cornerstone of my x-mas strategery.
Pressure Cooker and Cast Iron Dutch Oven, expand my cooking repertoire. Real Mashed Potatoes quicker than instant is AWESOME!!! Looking forward to fork tender cheapo cuts of beef.

Not a gift, but we found Cuisinart Waffle Makers at the Cargo Largo wannabe in Grandview for $14.99. It was like X-mas all over again. Those are the best things on erf. I had the small round one previously, then gave it to my mom when I got a deal on the big rectangle one. Now I have both, my mom bought 3 for backups and gifts and my sis bought one for herself. Never have I witnessed something so perfect at its job as a Cuisinart Waffle maker, never uneven cooking, NEVER sticks. Just pour the batter, wait for the light to turn back green and pull out the perfect waffle. Those who have wrestled with scraping stuck waffles from red-hot iron plates can appreciate.

SC brought the family a WII along with WII Sport, Fit, Speed Racer, Kung Fu Panda, Rock Band and a bunch of other games.

Been a blast watching the kids - they actually argue over who gets to do the Fit each day.

Also got a great paper shredder, some cologne and a couple of gift cards.
