How did he do last night against USC?

Saw him getting some pressure. Some mocks have him going top 5.

He got a little pressure, but anytime he made a big play was because he was offsides (and got called for it).

Not even remotely close to being worth a top-five pick.

he had some good pressure and got a sack/fumble, but there was offsides that negated it

He looked kinda small, i get he's a 3-4 OLB

3-4 ends are big, do you mean a LB?

Sounds like a real good prospect if the Chiefs move to a 3-4, which could be a possibility depending on what coach they bring in. In which case, he could easily slide in to a OLB/DE Demarcus Ware type role.

There are actually a few PSU products that would be worth a look. I think Derrick Williams is an intriguing 3rd round prospect, and Norwood or Butler could be interesting prospects too--all those guys would be valuable as slot receivers. The other guy was AQ Shipley, who I think could be a steal in the draft. Here's another guy who could fall out of the 3rd round, maybe into the 4th.

i say that we take the DE that tests out the best.... i'm becoming decreasingly interested in stafford and bradford

He won't be Hali.

Hali was a pure, hands-on-the-ground DE. Would never be fast enough to be a LB, never be big enough to be an every-down DE.

Maybin probably has potential to be either an effective edge rushing, pass down specialist or a 3-4 OLB/DE.

Maybin probably has more upside. But he'd probably only be of first round value if he was in a 3-4.

He weighs 230lbs...

He weighs 230lbs...

Thats why he's going to be a linebacker. He can probably still gain 10-15 lbs of muscle before he loses his quickness.

I'm not sure the Chiefs should draft Penn State players it hasn't worked out well.
