Report: Young Schottenheimer is Jets favorite
http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/01/jets_schottenheimer_is_early_f.html

The Newark Star-Ledger reports that offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has emerged as the favorite to be the Jets' next head coach.
Schottenheimer, who interviewed Thursday, has apparently passed Giants DC Steve Spagnuolo atop owner Woody Johnson's wish list. Spagnuolo interviewed Saturday and reportedly "wasn't as prepared as one would think". A Schottenheimer hiring would not impress a testy fan base or attract PSL buyers for the Jets' new Meadowlands Stadium, which will open in 2010. Jan. 4 - 3:01 pm et

It's a bullshit report. Woody Johnson isn't even in the country right now.

It's the Star-Ledger, not the best source.

Wow the Giants DC was not prepared as they like for a interview?? Good, it means he is preparing for his team now..

Perhaps we will learn how far an apple can fall from a tree.

Maybe he wasn't as interested in the Jets as they are him so he just tanked the interview? :D

One of my best friends (a former NFL player), was his offensive coordinator.

He thought he'd be a successful coach someday and told me as much back then.

Brian learned his offense from Cam Cameron, it's actually a fairly pass happy offense.

The funny thing is, as much as people have dissed Clark for not caring, and applauded the Jets for taking "action", their owner is the one out of the country and unable to do anything.

Didnt Brian go to college at Florida and played under Spurrier?

That is funny. he has psl's looming and a team in turmoil and he's so exhausted from being a billionaire that he needs a vacation, out of the country of course.
