These original tracks recorded at Sunset Sound back in the 70's have been floating around for years. Though I'm surprised this guy hasn't been sued for copyright and Master Rights infringement.

Personally, I think it's badass.

I love Dave, Man.

It's like he's blowing a horn or a sax when he sings.

There will never be another like him.

I finally got to see him when they came to KC (they broke up when I was a wee lad); man, it was great to see a rock front man that didn't take himself too seriously. He entertains; it was great.

I initially underestimated how much fun I'd have with this.....

I suggest cranking up the speakers and playing them randomly in the office, then faking confusion when coworkers walk by...

I was wondering how they isolated the vocals without having access to the master tapes. I didn't know these were floating around.

A while back, a studio in LA accidently sent my producer a 24-track master tape consisting only of Michael Jackson recording some backup vocal harmonies. It's pretty funny hearing him go flat and then nervously twitter out a pathetic high-pitched 'sorry' to Quincy. ROFL

Someone who was hired to transfer the masters to backup tape for remastering copied them.

I have a copy of the unedited versions (the ones on the website are edited). It's pretty cool to hear the headphone bleed while he's not singing.

FTR, Dave thinks it's cool that they're out there. He said that it shows people that he can really fucking sing.
