He was pretty hated early on, although he did show up over a Phobia's for a BBQ a couple years ago. I was surprised by that.

He's commented on threats on his life a lot. I don't know if he was totally serious, sarcasm can be hard to read online, but I have no doubt that he genuinely thought about it.
