Is there any chance we can land this guy with our 2nd round pick. I have seen that he is not in very many top 32 player boards. I think it would be perfect if we could land Sanchez with our first pick and Johnson with our 2nd.
Any thoughts?

Probably not. He'll likely rise after workouts.

Would getting Curry with the 1st round and Johnson with the 2nd fix the defense? Would it be enough?

He's going to be better than Orakpo. He isn't just a workout freak.

Johnson's probably going top 8, so we couldn't get him in the 2nd round.

Some boards have him top 10-15 pick and others have him in rd. 2. ? I guess if we got him in round 2 it wouldn't be considered a reach so , YEAH, he would be good.

I think he's gonna jump a BUNCH! Round 2 would be ridiculous, but I wouldn't be surprised if we had to trade up to get him in the top of the 1st. I'd love to trade down and take him though.

He shouldn't be taken before the third. He's got the size and numbers, but his heart just isn't in it. His numbers have never matched up to expectations. He didn't participate in the Senior Bowl even though there are no top DE's present. He could have used it to propel himself into the top 10, ahead of someone like Orakpo, but he took the cowardly way out. I'd rather spend a 2nd round pick on a guy with the passion to play football and the attitude that he has something to prove.

You echoed Pioli's philosophy.

Eh, I think he's horribly overrated if you're looking at him as a top half of the 1st round guy. He should have great workouts, but he's had an unproductive career and he looks like more of a basketball player than a football player. He's going to be a guy that people either love or hate.

Do you seriously think "rory" when you read royr's posts.

There is a long tradition of Roy's on this board, and we can't really say we're proud of that.

That is the best description I have seen of him.
He seems more like a kind of project/toy for a great defense that can get the max out of his talent without relying on him to do too much.

"Too Tall" Johnson.
