Herm drafted the best CBs in the draft. Would you have minded if Pioli kept Herm as the DBs coach?

Eh... Herm might be a good DBs coach, but I just want him gone for good.

Herm had a contract worth 5 years in NY
and one worth 4 in KC
if he doesn't have at least 15 mil squirreled away he's insane

It's actually been in my mind for a while. But if you do not like the thread, please ignore it and stop being a fucking dick.

Last time I checked Herm was a DB coach that was made a head coach twice.

I'll ignore them as long as you quit starting new threads about random ideas you have in your head.

If everyone started a new thread when they had a crazy idea, this place would be a mess.

It may be but since everyone here has been flaming the living shit out of Herm. I just wanted to point out that he drafted two great CBs for us. At least he did something positive, in some sense :D

Yes, I would have.

Herm would undermine his HC and throw them under the bus whenever he got the chance.

Herm needs to go. If there is some conflict down the road some players will side with Herm. Also if things don't go well with the new coach there will be guys who like Herm and it will just cause problems. This is Piolis and whoever the new HC's team now... the old head guys have to go.

I seriously doubt that a 2 time HC could go back to anything less than a d-coordinator role. It would turn him into a Jackass amongst coaches...oh wait...

Nah...he'll be a D-Backs coach with an inflated sub-title like Assistant Head Coach. He's never actually coordinated an NFL defense that I know of.

I would rather hire blueballs as our DB coach then have Herm coach them.

When has a head coach ever stepped down to a positional level on the same team the next year after being removed from head coach? Seems kind of silly.

Not trying to be an ass, but there is absolutely, positively, no way this would ever happen, so........what's the point?

That said, I would love to have Herm as a DBs coach. That's what he's good at, because that's what he is. He should have never been hired as a head coach. If he would accept what he is, he could be a real asset to a team.

Does anyone think that, if Pioli offered for Herm to stick around and coach DBs, Herm would accept?

I don't.

As a matter of fact, it's happening to multiple people where I work now. Then again, I seriously doubt Herm will take a major step down for the same team that fired him. Odds are, he sits out at least a year and enjoys life outside of the NFL. Who knows, perhaps he'll watch the Superbowl this year.

I don't even want Herm back to watch a game. He may be able to win over the players, but he cannot get them to give their best performance. They might be prepared to play, but not prepared to win. He doesn't strike me as one with a strategic mind.

he did seem to draft good DB's, but NO I don't want him anywhere near this team.
