I am one of those fans that cares more about defense. The R2P2 didn't bother me near as much as teams consistently converting long 3rd downs into first downs. I love defense. That being said, does anybody know who might be a candidate for DC if Haley is hired as HC?

McDaniels hired Priefer.

Schwartz hired Gun.

Spags hired Curl.

The pattern leads to only one conclusion, which is that Todd Haley would promote Tim Krumrie to DC.

At least he won't be teaching d-linemen hand-slapping drills anymore.

He'll teach it to the entire defense.

Bowles makes sense.

However you slice it, you have to love the mystery that pioli has created. He sure knows how to keep the lid on things.

One thing to keep in mind is that any coach that is still under contract to their team can be prohibited from interviewing with the Chiefs if their team says so. The NFL does not consider a move to coordinator to be a promotion unless they are named associate head coach.

I liked Tim Lewis who is a former D coordinator with the G-men and Steelers.

I mentioned his name before to replace Gun a few years back.

But I just saw this week he was hired by Jim Mora to coach the DB's in Seattle.
