Chiefs Year of the Pass Rusher --The Irony

After laboring through this past Chiefs season setting an NFL record for fewest sacks we can enjoy the honor bestowed on one of our great ones --sack master Derrick Thomas.

I wonder what kind of irony visited the Canton voters who tapped DT, while mindful of how anemic Chiefs pass rush was this past season?

Thanks to the voters for recognizing Thomas' great play. This past season reminded us of how remarkable it was.

Don't knock ChiefsCountry, he's right. There's several players coming out next year to get excited about. The QB class next year is lacking. We're in position to draft a solid franchise QB who can be ours for the next 10 years. I didn't say elite-that's putting too much pressure on the player, I said solid.

Our defense will be much improved next year with a new organizational philosophy, better coaching, and another year's experience for several of our younger players. Plus, we'll add some players in other draft rounds this year and in free agency.
