View Full Version : Music Who should perform at next years Super Bowl?

BigRedChief

Doesn't seem like many people are happy with the way the half time show is done at the Super Bowl anymore. So lets come up with ideas and fix it. I'll send an email to the NFL with the winning idea and when next years Super Bowl half time show is our idea we can gloat.

Should it be some collection of singers/bands of an era's 60's, 70's, 80's kind of show?

A collection of genre music?

Get the newest and hottest talent every year?

Heres the link to Billboards top 200 to sort out your opinions.
http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/charts/chart_display.jsp?g=Albums&f=The+Billboard+200

Maybe the Super Bowl should do something other than music?

Speak your piece in here and we will take the top ten best ideas and create a poll for the Planet to vote on.

The history of who performed at each half time show:
http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/history/entertainment

Will edit this top 10 list for the poll as needed. The ones in BOLD have been nominated more than once.

Go to a traditional half-time with football X's and O's.

Bring back the marching bands.

Do a mix of new and old talent.

Get the hottest current band/singer.

Iron Butterfly playing In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida for the whole 30 minutes.

The halftime show is always pathetic no matter who plays.

I'd bring Springsteen back for an encore.

You want a band with bouncy, lively music, so if not Springsteen.......hey. I just realized that all of the other bands I like are dead.

Oh, wait. Matchbox 20. Are they still alive? They could do it as long as they didn't do their songs about mental illness and stuff.

"Hamas, can I borrow that piss-elm branch for a moment please"?

And that goes for Nickle Crack too.

Red Hot Chili Peppers or AC/DC? You gotta be kidding.

Not a chance. No way.

They're safe for consumption by the masses; I could see it happening.

So the show doesn't offend the prudish folks, I suggest a "Rockbitch" reunion.

That's the reason why i can't see it happening. I don't think they are safe bands.

"Danger" left the building a LONG time ago with those two. When I was but a wee teenage nard, Wal Mart would not carry AC/DC.

Wal Mart was their biggest pimp for the new album.

The Peppers are goofy and quasi-trippy in their own special way, but a threat?

No.

I don't watch the Super Bowl halftime, so my vote probably shouldn't count.
