Ok. A few spots that wont be determined until signing day. Smaller class than the past few years, but that's a good thing. As of now we have a commitment at every position but CB, but we're stacked at DB.

You have a similar class to what SC has brought in...18 commits for SC 16 for Florida...

Although SC has 5, 5 star commits and offers out to several more 5 star guys this could be a great class.

We're probably going to lose Sheldon Richardson and now Freeman is coming over to cocktease for awhile...but we likely won't get him either. Kendial Lawrence was a huge get late in the period, we were in a lot of trouble if we didn't get a back.

I'll probably end up lighting myself on fire by Thursday.

Where do you think Richardson is going?

Whoa Rivals dropped Barkley out of the top spot but moved Vontaze Burfict into the top 10 giving SC 3 top 10 commits..

They dropped Barkley from 1 to 5.

The Browns were not Ron Prince fans. He left, and Bryce decided to look more seriously at KState.

haven't really kept up with it this year because it's becoming harder and harder to stay a Texas A&M fan

a lot of LBs and DBs--hopefully to fit Sherman's coaching staff-- and sprinkle in a few OL, a 4-star WR and a 5-star RB. RB and WR should be a strength for them next year

Ronnie Wingo take that Mizzou!

I'm still shocked that Wingo chose Arkansas over Mizzou, Illinois and Alabama.

Ark is coming off an awful season, who knows how long Petrino will be there and they already have a commitment from another good RB in Knile Davis.

It really makes you wonder....

Jenkins has an offer from SC aswell....how do you think that plays out?

The 10th 11th and 12th players from rivals who are uncommitted all have offers from SC in Jenkins, Dre Kirkpatrick and Manti Te'o.

I wonder if Urban will go all Emmual Moody on SC again....I'll never forget that ridiculous shit he pulled with James Wilson.

This Miami talk has me nervous. He's just seemed awfully outspoken about his great his visit to The U was. As an MU fan, I'm just waiting for something bad to happen, that's just how it goes with this school.

As for Wingo and Arkansas, he's a terrifying threat as a WR or even used in a hybrid wildcat role. I honestly think he's a little too tall to be the starting RB, but he'll be a dynamite player. Petrino will put him to good use...right before he better deals him.

The story I heard is...his parents are separated and when he picked SC she flipped out thinking he picked his dad over her because he lives on the west coast and kicked him out of the house.

Then Urban brought in some minister to talk to him and had him living with Tim Tebows family.

The Buckeyes have an amazing class coming in next year. Some sites have them first, others 3rd. Running the ball shouldn't be a problem, they have really recruited some amazing OL players the last few years. Also look pretty solid at LBer. I'd have liked to have seen more players on the D line, but I'm pretty happy overall. Tress is finally begining to have some success outside the midwest. We now shall see if we can win a meaningful game outside of the Michigan game.

Sure, alot of them are 3 and 4 star recruits. They have 3-5 star recruits, with the potential to add one more, but I find it unlikely the Marlon Brown signs outside the SEC. The majority are 4 star, but according to Scout.com, they have the top class and they have not had that dating back to 2002. USC on the other hand has had the top class 3 times in that time frame. USC only has 5 5 star recruits right now according to Scout.com. Besides, it is a hell of a lot more difficult to get people to go to OSU than it is to USC.

Man the SEC should really do something about their recruiting standards, they frankly do things that other schools just won't do.

Alabama has signed 32 and 27 players in back to back years and Ole Miss had 38 LOI today...that's ridiculous, it's oversigning.

So long as the actual number who enrolled is eventually pared down to the limit. IOW, SEC teams often overcommit because they know a handful will not have the grades or test scores to qualify.

It's a pretty cynical practice and I suppose there could be debate over how ethical it is, but other schools have much stricter limits on how many kids you can offer. This partially explains why SEC classes are usually ranked so high; most of the programs oversign on purpose.

So the question becomes...what do you do when more guys qualify than you expected? Tell some kid to get bent when he could have gone somewhere else?

Sometimes I wonder if it's done to satisfy the fan bases so they can go "look 10 SEC schools are in the top 25 recruiting!" Then they never realize how many of those players never play or even go to the school.
