I looked for years before finally finding it on laserdisk on eBay.

And The Godfather is not only the best crime movie ever made, it's my humble opinion it is the best movie ever made. It is pure perfection, in my book.

I own the complete epic on VHS and totally agree for a movie(s) 30+ years old one can put it in and it looks like it could've been released last week.I love how so much attention was paid to it,every i was dotted and every t crossed,true perfection in film making.

From some sort of objective standpoint, I really don't know which is better, nor care. If someone wants to say that Godfather Parts 1 & 2 are better than Goodfellas, I won't complain.

Will not happen. IIRC, Coppola owns the rights, and he's said there will not be a Godfather 4 unless Mario Puzo pens the script. And since Puzo died in 1999, not gonna happen.
