Bystander killed following bank robbery; suspect was on probation for previous burglary charge.


COFFEYVILLE, KAN. - The suspect in a Tuesday afternoon bank robbery was on probation for a previous burglary charge.

According to an FBI spokesperson, Ross A. Williams, 39, of Claremore, Oklahoma, stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a Bank of America branch in Coffeyville...

You of course read the news report I attached to the thread starter right moron?

I live in Coffeyville and the suspect was apprehended a few blocks from my house, so yeah; I have an opinion.

So who shot the bystander? From the story it sounds like the police accidentally did..... Why didn't they clarify that?

PZ reading comprehension is so finely tuned that he read BK's 'that's murder' remark as a call to prosecute the COP for murder, not hang it on the perp.

According to Coffeville police, a bystander located behind the officers was struck by gunfire and later died. The victim has been identified as Willie Neal from Georgia.

...But point well taken.

I think that's correct.
