I'll always have a soft spot for my boyhood team. I grew up listening to my Dad's St. Louis Cardinals on the radio.

But this week, KXNO Sports out of Des Moines announced that they have signed a deal to carry Royals baseball this summer.

I'm very intrigued with this young team and have been for a couple of years. Now I get to listen every day.

ROFL

I was hoping the "Royals" tag would prevent this kind of toilet humor.

I guess I should have expected nothing less. :)

I've heard that the hormone therapy side-effects get worse, before they get better. Good luck.

I for one share your joy hit smack. I'm looking for a station around here I can pull in. Grew up with Denny and Fred and love me some Royals baseball.

The Royals may win more games than the cards this year....

Cards have 1 first baseman and a catcher.
an outfielder at second
no one knows whose on third.
They have a pitching staff of Wainwright, a broken carpenter, and who the hell knows?
No closer.

The owners have decided to pinch pennies since 06 and it is beginning to show.

I don't know what I'll do when the Royals become relevant in the grand scheme of MLB again. I was born during the end of the glory years so the highlights of my fandom have been the years they were mediocre. Mediocrity has been my "good ol' days".

That said, I love the Royals and I hope you'll love them too, Parker.

I never was much of a baseball fan, but last year I attended a Royals game for the first time ever and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Next thing I know I'm listening to Royals games on the radio...someone please just shoot me now...

not so much with Royals.
