View Full Version : Royals AT: Swing and a Miss for Royals renovations

The crack of the bat, the cool spring breeze, a error made by a shortstop. This can only mean one thing! The Royals are back! Only thing that is wrong is the large mess created by construction crews at the stadium affectingly known as The K (presumably named after the much beloved royal Mark Quinn) . There were grumblings early on about being behind schedule and low on funds, but when we got out to the K, the staff here was appalled with what they saw. “There was shit all over the place, everything was ****ed up” 77 year old Martha Marthenson reported. Martha has been going to games since the 20’s when legends like Bill Pecota and Chico Lind roamed the field. I had to go see for myself just the mess that was created. I walked into the once awesome stadium only to be greeted by hammers, nails, sawing, and a power point presentation full of bad font and sweet roll in graffics when the slide changed. “ Here we have some stuff and more stuff, “ said the worker with his hard hat on. We then went on to discuss why the stage in centerfield was scratched. As many know there were plans for a stage which would host rock stars and legends such as The Gin Blossoms, but instead that idea was scrapped giving new meaning to the album “New Miserable Experience” The man working there didn’t know all the shit laying around was going to be picked up by opening day, but did assure me that security will show me out. Just another swing and a miss for a team that should be used to striking out.

Yeah, I have a feeling that when you are renovating, crap is left lying around. I didn't exactly throw dinner parties when renovating my house...

Whatever this article is supposed to be, serious isn't one of them.

A 77 year old wasn't attending games in the 20's. Bill Pecota played in KC in the 80's. Chico Lind played in the 90's. Nobody built a stage to feature "legends such as The Gin Blossoms". Etc. etc. etc.

It appears to be a poorly written attempt at humor.

Blue Thunder?
Blue fucking Thunder?

You call yourself an Airwolf fan, and dare to even mention the words "Blue Thunder?"

You sonofabitch......

p.s. I had a toy Blue Thunder as a kid. It flew in tandem with my later Airwolf model.

no one could replace's doms skill on the chaffs and flairs though. It really shows when airwolf went against redwolf and about lost because dom wasn't back there. Luckily String was able to do a invert cobra to get the kill

I just read about the real-life demise of the Airwolf helicopter.
I have a tear on my face.

I can't believe it ended that way.

My favorite part on the battle between redwolf and airwolf is when the Redwolf pilot calls stringfellow hawk "chicken Hawk" Then Stringfellow promply owns his ass with a maverick heat singing air to air misstle of sweet death

Finally shoots the red baron down then stringfellow hawk goes down lands takes off the redbarons hat and stuff and it turns out to be snoopy. I smell grammy!
