So far the only player that I have seen that we were interested in has been Haynesworth. I wanted us to look at Canty, Andrews, Scott...the list goes on, but all these players are either signed or are not taking visits to Kansas City.

And if we are interested in anyone, neither Pioli nor Haley are going to include the KC media and fans in like Carl did....

We will never know until the signing...

You know, I don't have a problem with that at all, but it's frustrating as all hell watching talent parade everywhere but KC.

Pioli was so impressed with the talent we already have on the team, he knew it would be a waste of money to try and improve on it...

Pioli is busy finding 22 players on the street who can win 2 games.

Haley doesn't need to sign any real free agents. He can find 22 guys tailgating before the game that could win 2 games.

Actually it was the fact that Carl DID sign shit that has put us in the band-aid mode for the last generation.

I just called Scott and let him know how you're feeling. He ensured me that he'll get right on it. He said placating impatient fans is priority #1 from this point on.

Quite worrying....

Are we going to win anything next year with a top tier FA? Fuck no. Why blow money on an overpriced guy.

FA should be treated like Money Ball.

Best value, not the Redskin approach.

Exactly...value is key in this phase. The only thing Haynesworth and Hall put the Redskins in is salary cap hell. Enjoy that.

Not if next year is cap less.

Which almost every owner has been assuming for a year now. The 'skins are just a market that feels they can afford to do that spending.

That's what cracks me up. When the NFL goes the way of the MLB....expect Hunt to do what the Royals have done, and just give up on spending anything compared to the rest of the league, and be content to never compete. Hell, likely even just become an incubator for everyone elses teams, like our boys in powder blue.

DET, KC, CLE, JAX amongst others will fade fast if this goes through. Which sucks, cause I'll have to give up one of the things I love most, football.

People don't realize that next year isn't going to lead to crazy in FA spending, it's going to be a year where teams will shed all the bad contracts that they couldn't because of the cap.

That's true, but you can't be looking forward to an uncapped league in a "small market" city...it's nearly impossible to acquire or retain talent when someone is able to spend 3 times what you can, and unfortunately this is a business for all these guys.

Oh yeah I agree. You can't put the peanut butter on the bread then try to spread the jelly on top of it......that's what the other piece of bread is for. You can say there's more than one way to skin a cat, but my dentist is closed on Thursdays and the party starts at 4 but I won't get there until about 3.
