just a hunch but LJ, Gonzo and Waters could still be traded. We may even trade down and aquire a high 2nd rounder.

Any of those three could be worth a 2nd rounder to team that thinks they are ready to contend for the SB.

Cassel was a great move. Less risk and cost than a rookie, prototypical size and arm strength, has NFL experience. He must be smart because Scott and BB scouted and drafted him.

I see no downside to this trade.

we don't know how much Cassel is gonna demand in contract yet, do we?

We might sit on his contract this year and wait to extend him during the season or next year.

We can't trade Tony. Cassel needs him.

Not if we take Crabtree at #3.

He'll become a free agent 364 days from now. Huge gamble to wait. They've probably already figured out the extension.

I would be willing to bet the deal was in place but they were waiting for the Chiefs and Cassell to get a multi-year deal reached before calling the deal final.
