He came in the same draft class with Culpepper, Edgerrin James, Mcnabb (1999 I believe). In fact, he came in the year AFTER Randy Moss. I doubt anybody would be against adding Moss, so why not give Holt a look?

So Eddie Kennison was a contributer until he was 96 but people don't want to give a chance even to a guy like Holt who has more talent in his left pinky than Kennison ever had in his whole body... I don't get sports fans.

Yea I understand getting young and building for the future... but we already are among the youngest teams in the league. Getting a "old" receiver with Holts talent to school Bowe and be productive for a few more years would be the worst thing ever I guess.

Last I heard it takes a mix of young players and vets to be really successful.

It costs a pick. I don't think they'll take a 3rd rounder for him and he isn't worth our top pick.

I agree Dr. Owens is 35 and still considered a great WR, Rice played good football into his late 30's. Holt would be a great #2 for 3 more years for some team.

Old news.

Everyone in the league know they are planning to cut him if they can't trade him.

No reason to trade for something you can get for free.

When he is cut are KC 3rd in line or how does that work? I remember Miami was first to take guys cut last year. But it might have been when they were trimming the roster.

He'll have to bulk up to play O-line.

If the Browns put Braylon Edwards on the trade block, I think the Chiefs should take a look at him. He had a terrible year last year but it doesn't help when you are a WR and have 50 different starting QBs during a single season.

I know... seems like just yesterday he was an up-and-coming star.

I say we bring him ropes for a look.

Chiefs would set the NFL record for drops in a season if that happened.

I'm against almost all of these older stars, but I think this could work.

If anything it would make the games more fun to watch... A short contract could make our team a lot more bearable to watch during the rebuilding process.

Careful, the "true genious's" will be all over this.

in real life yes, but in the NFL for a WR that's bordering on being ancient.
