Arby’s offering free Roastburgers March 8

Atlanta Business Chronicle - February 27, 2009

Atlanta-based fast-food chain Arby’s is launching a new line of “Arby’s Roastburger” sandwiches to take on the big hamburger chains.
And on March 8, customers can get a free Roastburger with the purchase of any size drink if they go into an Arby’s and say “I’m here to change my burger.”
Arby’s Roastburgers come in three styles:
• All-American Roastburger -- Arby’s thinly sliced, oven-roasted roast beef with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, ketchup, mustard and a secret sauce served on a specialty roll.
• Bacon and Bleu Cheese Roastburger -- Arby’s classic roast beef prepared with pepper bacon, a tangy bleu cheese spread, lettuce, tomato and onion on a specialty roll.
• Bacon and Cheddar Roastburger -- Arby’s roast beef, pepper bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion on a specialty roll.
Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc. runs more than 3,735 Arby's restaurants in the Arby’s system.

The Big Montana was on the menu for along time but I noticed its not on the menu atleast at the Arbys I go to. The Promotional item is the Roastburger which is basically the same as the Super Roast beef excpet on a different bun and they don't put the same sauce on it.

It really is impossible to tell exactly what they sell. On their 'big board' they pretty much just group pictures by kind [group of fries, fruit cup, salad, for sides, group of pics of subs, group of pics of entree salads, etc]. Big numbers for 'value meal #,' teeny-tiny numbers for prices, little mention of entree names.

We bought Arby's yesterday and they said the 5 for 5 is now daily. No need for a coupon.

It appears that the "Roastburger" is just another variant of their roast beef sandwich, it's not really a hamburger.

And basically, it's their roast beef, 'oven roasted,' seasoned with 'burger' flavorings, and toped with burger toppings.
