FireMeBoy! is you're best bet, maybe you all could meet up in Wilmington, at the Cracker-Barrel and discuss cast-iron skillets and apricot-preserves over a 'Truckers-special...'

I used to live in Concord. It's a beautiful area, if you have any questions about it let me know. There's a few others here who either live there or have lived there. I'm sure they'll chime in, they helped me out quite a bit when I moved there.

Charlotte is beautiful. The Rock Hill area just over the border in SC is great too.

Yeah, it is. It's also considerably cheaper to live there, and is literally a 5 minute drive up 85 to get into Charlotte.

Well...we did get a SG from Norway to commit.

Guys on sports radio in Charlotte during drive time refer to Wake as Switzerland. They say it's because NC has many dominant teams and tons of rivalries. While you won't see UNC fans cheering for Duke when it doesn't affect them, or vice versa, everyone kind of roots for Wake come tournament time. Nobody hates them. They're always neutral. I thought it was funny. It was all in the delivery.

FWIW Sports talk shows are much better here if you can get past the Duke North Carolina bs.
They pretty much put the loss entirely on Delhomme's shoulders. as they should.

Charlotte isn't the city it used to be when BOA, Wachovia/First Union, and other banking kinds were the kings there. Charlotte is a pretty city depending on where you live....I am sure that some of the people on Tryon or Trade streets might differ with someone's opinion on how beautiful Charlotte is.

The disappointing this for the Charlotte area is the crime has moved out of the city and slowly crept north to Davidson, Huntersville and Cornelius.

FWIW, I loved living in Mooresville when I lived in the Charlotte area.

Yep, Fuel Pizza is pretty good. I actually prefer a place called Johnny B's. The owner is from either NYC or Jersey and makes real pizza, not the imitation stuff you see everywhere around here. The also have great beer on tap. There used to be a location in Charlotte but they just shut down.

I'll tell ya, it doesn't exist on the west coast. But genuine NY pizza is alive and well in Charlotte. I gained over 100lbs living there. Came back here and lost it. :D

It may be alive in well in Charlotte but as you know, Gastonia is 20 miles away but it might as well be 2000. They still live on red beans and rice in these parts. :)

And the adult bookstores that get raided all the time....not that I would know anything about that.

Dave and Busters actually had a kick ass set up. They had audio boxes that they left at your table so you could listen to your game while you watched it. Something like 30 big screens on one wall and others throughout the restaurant. It was one of the more pleasurable places to watch when I couldn't enjoy the comfort (and bong) of my own home. The food was pretty good too.

Good deal. When I lived in Concord I found a guy but he lived in Peachland which was something like 45 minutes away. It was half a day to get it done but I'd buy enough to only have to do it once a month.

Finally, I found a guy in Concord who was getting actual green bud out of Asheville. It was fucking awesome. Being from the Seattle area, I was pleasantly surprised.
