No Cheap Trick with Def Leppard and Poison?

They are all 3 coming to New Orleans on Thursday April 16th.

Not going though.

Shamelessly stolen from someone else.

what ever you do do not use hydrochloric acid.
use a small amount of oxalic acid in the wash machine
with only the jeans that you are trying to acid wash
with warm water and at least two rinse cycles.
you can get the acid at Lowe's home improvement
in the paint dept. under the name of wood bleach.
you may have to experiment several times adding a little more
each time.

Cheap Trick is the only reason I'd want to go. Leppard is fine, Poison makes me ill.

It's not even about Poison, to me. It's about Def Leppard.

Specifically, "Hysteria" Def Leppard. I'm not one of those classic rock snobs who complains that Pyromania is far better than Hysteria. I loved that overproduced album, and still listen to it from time to time.

I'm crazy like that.

Actually, I like both of them. What I don't like is being surrounded by stoned/drunken concert idiots.

Not to mention the 80s chicks trying to wear their old 80s stuff with their 00s bodies.

*shudder*

heh, i loved them all the way up to Adrenalize in the early 90's.

I even liked Euphoria and X from a few years back because they sounded a little like old Leppard.

That Slang CD sucked big time though.

havent heard anything from the CD they had come out last year.

I grew up immune to Def Leppard's allure. Their allure was cemented pretty quickly and definitely as a chick thing, kind of a white trash NKotB, the acid wash panty droppers. AC-DC, Iron Maiden, Nazareth, GnR for the dudes, maybe a little Crue if you were feeling phaggy.

Growing up, I wsn't allowed mainstream entertainment. It was ALL Satanic (according to my mom).
I couldn't watch Smurfs, Silver Spoons, most other shows. My music library consisted of Amy Grant, Carmen, other Christian-type music.

About the time my mom and dad divorced, she suddenly decided it didn't matter anymore, and I was able to break out. My first music love was "Hysteria."
My dad started dating my soon to be Step-mother, who, upon our second meeting, bought me a shiny new Nintendo system.

So the marriage of "Hysteria" and Super Mario Bros began. Volume on the TV down, tape in the player, and hours and hours of playing and listening.

I still get decidedly angry everytime I hear the short radio-version of Rocket.

I got the CD a few years back, and the funny thing is that it throws me off. I had the timing of the gaps between songs down so well, that I could hum that first note just as it kicked in. On the cd, the timing is different.

Ratt & Dokken were the only ones I liked.
