The Raiders are a joke.

The Broncos are a joke.

The Chiefs have their quarterback and some pieces on offense. Obviously the defense needs help but it's not like anyone in the division had a good defense last year, anyway.

Chiefs and Chargers battling for the shitty AFC West next year?

Try 1 team. Its the Chargers and the chumps.

LOL, I love knowing that the Chargers have Norv Turner as their coach. They will never win a SB with him there. He is inept. I still don't know how they lost with that team two years ago...

It's a three way race for last place. Unless the Donks draft Sanchez and he puts on a Matt Ryan like rookie performance.

That;s the one thing I dreaded when they went to 4 divisions, someday as NFL fans we're going to be stuck watching a shit team in the play-offs while a good team in a stronger division stays home.

Its weird, we beat every team in the Division twice last year, but for some reason the gave the Donx credit for one of the wins...

The Chiefs will be improved, but not by enough to contend. The Raiders are still down while the Donks slip into obscurity. The Chargers win almost by default, and I don't expect their record to be much different than this year.

Well, it might be a good start to have more than 2 wins. We might want to be at least 50/50 before we qualify ourselves as "in the race" for the west.

A Orton vs Thigpen duel would have made a down season enjoyable. Maybe Pollard will trip into Cassel on the practice field before the Denver Arrowhead game.

Right now, its just basically the chargers. They have the best players at almost every position and they are more experienced. Only equalizer is the head coach.

That's a Special Olympics commercial waiting to happen.

At least we're quietly addressing those issues one at a time, steady as she goes. Denver on the other hand is creating issues to address. I love it.

4 bad teams.

No way.

The Chargers were robbed by the officials against Denver. There's a new rule in place to prevent that from ever happening again. That puts them at 9-7 for season.

After they lost Merriman and after they lost LT.

They beat the 12-4 Colts in the first round of the playoffs but without a running game, they couldn't beat the eventual Super Bowl champs in Pittsburgh. If they had an adequate backup to LT (Michael Turner was SORELY missed), they may have beat Pittsburgh.

They're an elite team and all this shit-talk about Norv Turner is just that: Shit talk.

They are THE best team in the division and if they add a few pieces through the draft, they may even go to the Super Bowl this year.

The 8-8 Chargers beat the Colts in the playoffs when the 12 win Colts were on a streak and Manning was gaining momentum.

The Chargers are the only good team in the AFC West. It is magnified now that Cutler is out of the Division.

SD lost Olshansky but get Merriman back.

As a avid S.D based warpath comment here in so-cal, I have to say my hat off to Phillip Rivers, as one of my fellow little league coaches had taken on a terminal ill player (cancer) and this guy stood as a true outstanding person through make a wish last week for this little kid .That is quality stuff no matter how the media plays us out, and I'm sure there is many more like this behind the scenes that we do no hear about.

No, the tread title said nothing about which team will win a SB first...

SD has a good team and with the other 3 struggling, yes they are poised to repeat as AFCW Champs, IMO. The other 3 are battling for 2nd place and the gap between 2nd and 4th isn't wide at this point.

Each of the other 3 teams have serious holes and when you look at the 2009 schedule... it will be very difficult for the AFCW to have 2 serious playoff contenders right now.

It seems very illogical to think the Chiefs will contend for the west based on beating Raiders once last year.
