Fantasy Spin: Jay Cutler signing

April 2, 2009 7:35 PM

The trade from Denver to Chicago knocks Jay Cutler out of the top 10 of ESPN Sr. Fantasy Analyst Matthew Berry's fantasy quarterback rankings for 2009. The new list:

1. Drew Brees

2. Tom Brady

3. Kurt Warner

4. Peyton Manning

5. Aaron Rodgers

6. Tony Romo

7. Philip Rivers

8. Donovan McNabb

9. Matt Ryan

10. Matt Cassel

(Cutler is actually No. 11)

Who's that QB sneakin into the ten spot?? :thumb:

Well this proves it.... Cassel>>>>Cutler

When a QB's best WR is Hester he will tend to get bumped down a few spots on a list like this.

Nope... this is clear proof that Cassel is a superior QB to Cutler. The debate is over.:harumph:

They must really expect KC to abandon the Run completly with a pass happy HC and a OC that runs the college spread. :banghead:

I wouldn't put Ryan or Romo up that high. I had Ryan last season and that team is clearly run first. He's solid, but in no way a top ten fantasy QB IMO. Romo is the same. He lost TO. He still has Whitten and Williams, but he throws a lot of picks and is pretty streaky. Having written this out, he's still top ten, but I ain't high on him.
