I used to watch the Cards quite a bit when he played for them. I don't ever remember seeing him in a red jersey. Not saying there isn't one, I just don't ever remember seeing him/them in red.

Thanks for the pics. He looks pretty young there. I moved in with my dad in '80. Mom hated anything sports related so it wasn't until I moved to my dads that I started following them. By then they were wearing gray and white uniforms.
Loved Ozzie. He's still my all-time favorite ball player. ('Course, after the strike in the mid 90s I pretty much quit following baseball all together).

I would imagine those all are BP jerseys. I think the best you're going to be able to do is get one of those throwback blue jerseys (I have one, it's pretty cool) or a red t-shirt.

You're going to have a hell of a time finding one, Kara.
The only thing you'll find in red is a batting practice jersey, or a t-shirt.
MLB doesn't allow jerseys to be customized with retired/former players, so you'll have to get lucky. I'd check E-bay.
The red is what is holding you up - you can find throwbacks pretty easy, but not throwback batting jerseys.

maybe you should become a royals fan kara...
i had never heard the policy about retired, former players. don't doubt its true, but what a dumb idea. i'm sure they'd sell at least 1000 #5 powder blue throw backs here in kc on te first day alone.

I didn't realize it either, until I ran across this:
http://www.fansedge.com/St-Louis-Cardinals--Personalized-with-Your-Name--2009-MLB-Replica-Jersey_-2022300430_PD.html
It's Easy, just type in the name and number you want to appear on your jersey in the appropriate text boxes, and click ''Add To Cart''
Jerseys with retired/former players, retired numbers, and coaches cannot be made.
Please Note:
Ships in 10-14 business days.

can't even do it at mlb.com for the 250 dollar home alternate replica.

try typing in "brett" and "5" and you get a message saying "Your current entry cannot be processed. Some entries are prohibited due to guidelines for past and present player names. Please create a new entry." that is "teh ghey"
