I remember watching this when it aired. And I remember Dante Hall catching "punts" from a jugs machine on Letterman many moons later. Those are the only local sports figures that I ever remember seeing on Letterman. :(

I remember them playing a video of Buddy drawing walks in the WS to the song by Carly Simon, Nobody Does It Better. Wasn't that on Letterman?

As a kid I remember the Royals had a player named Pete LaCock and I swear every time he came to the plate I had to hear that he was Peter Marshalls mephew or something.

New politically correct term for a male nephew. As opposed to a cross-dressing niece that wants everyone to call her "Bob." We all need to be sensitive to gender identity issues. :)
