A buddy of mine and 3 of his friends bought season tickets for the upcoming season for the first time. They got assigned to section 330. When they bought the tickets they enrolled in the seat upgrade program. Friday they got a call from a KC Chiefs ticket representative and have been upgraded to section 109.

I have a feeling we will be seeing a few blackouts this year.

I heard on the radio the other day that they have only sold 30-35,000 season tickets for the year so far. I'd get them again if I had any money, but the economy has hit me so we are living lean.

I miss going to games, so I'll look at 2010 if things improve for us.

Until this year not a lot of movement. Now I'm hearing big upgrades are available.

I've been a season ticket holder since 2002, and there were no upgrades available for me.

There is no blackouts unless the home team doesn't pay up.

If the home team provides the full cut of the visiting teams gate there will be no blackout. So you sold 80% of the stadium but you give the visiting team 40% of a sold out gate you can broadcast locally.

Once the upgrades are done, I fear that the $ of the tickets will, unfortunately, skyrocket.

I believe the incredadiculous increase in the Club Level is going to cover most of that... They can't really increase the other tickets (TOO MUCH) until they start winning more than 2 or 3 games a year...

All I know is that I went from Sec 123 Row 39 to Sec 118 Row 8.

Supposedly since I was displaced by the stadium improvements I was among the first in line for the upgrades. But a lot of folks seemed to move down in my vicinity. I think the poor performance coupled with rising prices made a lot of old timers say the hell with it. I honestly never thought I would have as good of seats as I do. I could have had Sec 102 Row 1 if I wanted to be on the visitor's side.

They call or e-mail me constantly, offering me a move down from the upper level and re-instating my seniority, but I just can't do it.

We've got a great plan to wipe out some debt this year, and it would be harder to do dropping $2000 on tickets, and another $1000 on travel expenses.

DTV it is, for at least another year.

That would be right next to us, we are Section 103 Row 1.

They have been holding back all lower level seats for the past few years for the people that would have to move because of the construction. That being said, there are a LOT of good seats available. If you are on the upper level and want to move down, call the ticket office.

Is that who said it? I couldn't remember. If it was KK then I put less stock in it.

They had tons of "upgrades" available from 105-114 when I called in last week, but I'll stay in the upper deck. The extra $$$ just isn't worth it to me.
