Too bad Farnsworth sucks monkeyballs.

The Royals could be 3-0.

And now the 4-5 spots in the rotation get to hemorrhage runs in such a profuse nature as to leave the successes of the 1st three games forgotten in their wake.

Time will tell. I hope you are wrong.

I hope I am too, but I think the chances of that are astronomical. Ponson and HoRam are literally two of the worst starting pitchers in all of MLB this decade.

Well I'm going to let hope win out over experience for now. [And light a candle that Hochevar is back no later than May.]

Especially Ponson, that's just as bad of a signing as Farnsworth.

Ponson isn't at all or even halfway remotely close to what he was in BAL for those couple seasons.

I really hope Hochevar pans out.

Same thing happened last month for the first month. We pitched out our ass with the exception of Meche, and we still ended the year as a near bottom dweller. I'm hopefull for .500 this year though

As if you would know. Hindsight is 20/20.

But leave it to you to make some outrageous claims.

If you would have said we'd only score 6 runs in our first three games, I'd have said we'd be 0-3.

Pitching has been great.

Honestly, if he can just keep us in the game (3 or 4 runs) and get to the 5th or 6th, thats really all the Royals could ask.

I hope so, or we will never have a chance with a guy like Ponson pitching and his 5 or 6 ERA.

My guess, is that Ponson will go 6 innings, give up 4 runs, strikeout 4 and walk 2. We'll be in the game, but we can't strand runners like we have been doing in the first 3 games.

This is why most teams need to be able to avg 5 or 6 runs a game in todays game.

Once you get down to the 4th and 5th starters (sometimes 3rd) on alot of teams, those guys are garbage.

Ponson & HoRam just need to keep the Royals in the game til they can bring in Farnsworth.

I'm hopefull for .500 this year thoughHopefully the bats will awaken sooner this year. Funny thing about baseball is that if you pitch well AND hit well you tend to win more games than you lose. Who'd a thunk it.

Who threw the first pitch for the Royals in "new" Kaufmann stadium?

Jesus christ that hurts. Unveiling the new statues, making a big to do, and then you run Sydney Ponson's ass out there. Only the fucking Royals.

I think we win 2 of 3 from Yankees. Color me Homer with Rose colored glasses. Either that or a redonkulous optimist

Didn't get to watch the first game, but the last two reminded me of what we have been missing for about 25 years.
Davies was impressive yesterday, impressive. It sure was fun to watch.

The question is: what do we do with our #5 spot when Hochevar comes back (which I believe/hope is in May)? I'd rather have "scary smart" Brian Bannister in there at 5 than HoRam or Sir Sidney...

Banny got lit up last night for Omaha.

His first season is looking more and more like a fluke

agreed.

I've seen enough of his game to know that he's had his 15 minutes of fame already. He'll be nothing more than a bit player the remainder of his career. JMHO
