GREINKE TIME!

Fausto Carmona obviously had a bad day, but he's not a great pitcher. If our offense can't hit this guy, I'll be unhappy.

Lets move it up to 4-3 for the season. So far before today's games KC was tied for 1st place in MLB for least amount of runs scored against.

he's not that bad. he is 28-26 with a 4.27 ERA in his career.

He had one good year. His other years have been pretty bad, including a 5.44 ERA and a K/BB ratio on the wrong side of 1.00 for 2008. He doesnt give up a lot of homers, but aside from that he's not scaring many hitters.

Calling my shot: Soria will not pitch tonight.

Why? Despite the apparent weakness in our lineup we completely destroy the Indians 9-1, no homers, just a lot of hits. 7IP, 0ER, 8K for Greinke, garbage run given up in the 9th.

Zack is certainly not the same pitcher that started this game. Dude's missing all over. Needs to let that ball get put in play while limiting the BB's.

Think that last inning rattled him some. Plus not getting those outside calls I think took away some of his stratemagy.

So I got to watch 3 royals games this past week......and probably wont see 3 more the rest of the year (unless I buy the package).

Because a guy with an OBP of .0000000 should never (imo) wave at the first pitch.

Because Carmona has been all over the stadium this inning. There's a very solid chance Pena could stand up there w/o moving the bat and draw a BB.

Need more reasons? Just because a guy made a routine big league play, doesn't relieve him of playing smart Bball at the plate.

They start somewhere, usually pop the glove to let the batter hear where they are, and then move.

Catchers must always be in position to block.
