Should be interesting. This weekend the irresistable force (Texas awesome hitting, crappy pitching) meets the unmovable object (KC weak hitting, awesome pitching).

The old saying says that good pitching beats good hitting, but who wins between bad pitching and bad hitting?

I thought you couldn't ask any more from someone at 1st base. Tell me why you don't think his defense at 1st base was nothing more than above-average?

I'm just thinking of him in comparison to elite defensive players at the position, like a Tex.

He looked amazing compared to the rest of the shit that we regularly throw out there; there's no question about that.

He could dig the ball really well, but his lateral range and quickness was pretty average. Compared to Butterball and Jacobs, though, Gload is a defensive HOFer.

Should be interesting. This weekend the irresistable force (Texas awesome hitting, crappy pitching) meets the unmovable object (KC weak hitting, awesome pitching).

I'd say bad hitting beats bad pitching.

I'm not quite that down on him. I think he's a serviceable ML player, nothing more. Not sure if that fits the definition of "average" or not.

And I continue to say we should sign him to an extension now because he should be dirt cheap.
