Who cares? There have been 11 games played. Offensive stats are skewed early in the season.

well, it looks pretty anemic when you take away yesterday's 12 runs... don't you think?

Better get those bats poppin'... our Batting Averages are shitty, for the most part.

I'm very excited about the pitching... need to get the bats moving.

I am a twins fan and i can totally feel ya. That was the twins the last like decade.

Just be happy in the fact that it is good pitching that wins games and not so much good hitting.

Keep it up KC staff

GO TWINS!!!!!

You are correct that the offense must improve. I would say that the biggest culprit is situational hitting...i.e. moving guys along, scoring them from 3rd with less than 2 out, etc. We're just not going to power our way through many games.

I do think that Guillen will eventually help out, and Jacobs is beginning to show some signs. I love what Coco does at the top, we just have to find consistency at the 3 spot and we should see more production.

Oh yeah, and I'm excited to get Hochevar back up to add that 4th starter. This could be special...and actually if (realizing it's April) they could get into the post season, do you think anyone would want to face the 3 starter-combo we have???

I'm such a Royals fan...it's April 18th and I'm mad the other 4 teams won and checked the standings. Oh well.

Sidney Ponson's been not terrible in his two starts as well. If he can keep it up and Hochevar does ok when he gets up our pitching staff is going to be sick this year.

and if we can get guillen and gordon back, I don't think we'll lose another game this season *drools*

At least you guys didn't give up 14 runs in one inning.

Couldn't happen to a better franchise, well maybe the team on the east side of Missouri as well. :D

Mitch Maier could be the key. We aren't going to get Gordon back until sometime in July, and imagine how rusty he is going to be for a good month even. Gordon kinda sucks, but you are still losing alot of RBI's and walks. Maier needs to step up.

Rusty? Gordon's going to get plenty of AAA rehab time, I think. Also, Maier can't really step up until Hillman actually starts him. *Grrrr.*

How fucking great is baseball season?

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. Its been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But, baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

We scored eight runs the first five games, but we have scored 37 runs in the last six. 6 runs per game is pretty good I think. We have done all this without our best hitter.
