We've got a PC that is provided by Colorado for home schooling. The wife wants to print to the printer that is attached to it via USB from any other PC on our home network. I've shared the printer and it works fine for about a week, and then the printer can't be reached. I go into network places, Entire Network, Microsoft Windows Network and then I can see the PC and it's shared printer. It then asks for user name and password, which is the same as the log in for that PC on boot. Enter them and the printer is accessible again until about a week later. Then repeat.

My question is: is the a way to disable it asking for the user name and password, or extending the amount of time before it asks for the password again? It's an XP machine.
